I was never into Jazz before I went to Small's. I needed a place to take a date and stumbled upon this place one night. I've been going ever since. After a walk down a flight of stairs you find yourself in a basement turned jazzclub. It's first come first served seating, and it goes quickly. Best spot is at the bar, which is nice and close to the musicians. The music is always great, and no matter where you sit you will hear the music just fine. But the atmosphere of the place makes it even better. This isn't a fancy place, but if you want an intimate place to enjoy jazz and have some drinks, this is a MUST for you.

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
