I've been to Spin a few times with friends and it's a fun place. However, they employ the RUDEST STAFF ever! After a visit a few months ago, I called the following day because I had lost my credit card and phoned to see if I left it there. The girl spoke to me in a very snobby, condescending tone and was not plesant on the phone whatsoever. More recently, I contacted Spin to get some information about having a Christmas party there. I dealt with a guy named Damon and when I spoke on the phone with him, he sounded like he couldn't be bothered answering my questions and he made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. When I asked about different options for parties, he was extremely rude and pretty much told me they would not work with me to figure out an option that works with my party budget and needs. To quote Damon: "Well, it is what it is, I don't know what to tell you." Again, very condescending with the delivery! Perhaps a customer-facing job isn't the right job for him. Is it a prerequisit that one must be rude and condescending to patrons in order to get a job at Spin? It's just ping-pong - get off your high-horse and be nice!
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
