This is a lovely bar to have a long conversation and a cigarette with a friend out on the back porch or to meet up for a first drink or two on a weekend night. The drinks are very well made but are not strong. This is not the kind of place you come to to get trashed. It's lovely, chic and a great place to start or end the evening.

The Summit Bar is exactly what a cocktail bar should be - full yet comfortable on weekdays, bustling yet exciting on weekends. The crowd consists of local East Villagers and those who are willing to travel out to Alphabet City for some seriously genius cocktails. The bar is stocked with some of the highest quality liquors, and the bartenders consistently pound out perfect drinks each time. The entire staff (including the bouncer) is super friendly - come by on a weekday and strike up a conversation.

Love this place. Perfect cocktails, great vibe, upscale but totally unpretentious. More info in this blog post about Summit at bit.ly/oNwu3P.
