Probably the rudest service I have ever experienced. My friends and I walked over an hour to come enjoy their karaoke evening and arrived late to find they weren't taking anymore songs. This was okay with us, as we planned to enjoy ourselves regardless and make the best of it. We had a few drinks and when we decided to leave were told we weren't at the $20 limit to charge our tab out. I asked 2 different bartenders and was told our tab was $19. They told us we could order a shot to make up the difference, but when I order the shot of a fairly well known drink the female bartender had no clue what I was talking about and insulted me for acting like it was normal. I decided not to order a shot, but still got one for my friend. When our tab came out, the same bartender said, "Sorry, but I was looking at a different bar tab when you asked your total and I was wrong, but I took off several drinks to make up the difference." She did not make up the difference by doing that because she took off extra drinks we never ordered from our tab and we were still out an additional $20. I confronted her about it stating that I asked twice about my tab amount before ordering more, as we were on a budget and she flicked me off, nodded her head and in so many words told me too bad, so sad. If you must go.... pay cash!

This is my favorite Irish pub in NYC. It has the great hospitality and terrific beers you find in some other places but without the same corporate feel. The other places you feel like you may as well be in the Phoenix Airport. Tempest screams NYC, with an intriguing mix of locals, college students and tourists. The bartenders are fantastic, and the jukebox guarantees there's always a party atmosphere.

Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
