I've been hearing about The Anchor for some time, and finally made it down last Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of quality people and the fact that one of my favorite DJs (DJ Price) was spinning here. I heard him last week at 1Oak, and he was amazing, but the crowd there was too stiff and pretentious to fully let loose. This was not the case at The Anchor. people were going bonkers: dancing, drinking, just partying, really. It felt like a real new york party, not some midtown frat party or stupid meatpacking nonsense. We had a great time and couldn't believe how sexy the crowd was. great bar, I will be recommending this to all of my friends and co-workers.

On our way to a loft party, we decided to stop off at at The Anchor where are friends were attending a Halloween party. Wow. Let's just say I've never seen an entire room having so much fun. There were no uptight people to be found- no poseurs or angry faces, just a sexy crowd getting their drink on and dancing like someone sent an electrical charge through the floor. The drinks were pumped out at a feverish pace by several scantily clad beauties and were suprisingly strong and tasty. After several, I joined the throngs of revelers and soon found myself sandwiched between two brazilian models on top of a banquet. Suffice to say, we never did make it to that loft party...but one thing is for sure, the Anchor will be on my agenda again very soon. Well done.

my girlfriend works across the street at giorgione so after her shift ended on a friday night we were curious as to what was going on in the spot with no name. once inside, the music was great, people handsome and, oh boy, was the party banging. around 1;30 am, people started piling in out of the woodwork. this was by far, the most fun i had out in nyc in two years. thanks for a great time. also, it was fun seeing tony soprano in the window booth up front.

The anchor is one of nyc 's best kept secrets during the week... stumbled upon the anchor with a friend on thursday and had a great time. the crowd was so cool looking and they were partying. hard. djs were killing it all night and the dudes from team facelift performed and even dj'd a set. the anchor throws a mean party. havent been on the weekend, but will be back on thursday for sure.

I'm an event planner, and I know a good party when I see one- and Anchor definitely had it going on! The door staff was kind and accommodating as opposed to obnoxious and rude for no apparent reason, so i was pleased with the place before I even walked in. The nautical decor was cool, and it juxtaposed nice with the DJ and the hip crowd. Which brings me to my next point: the music. From the time we arrived, we didn't stop dancing. The DJ was fantastic! He played a great variety music all night. The dancefloor was packed and the place was busy, but the vibe was cool- it looked like everyone was having as good of a time as us! Cocktails were delicious and strong and the staff was having a good time and very friendly also, rare for a trendy new york club. I'll definitely be back- it was nice to go out and actually have fun for once!

This place has the best DJs, but in a more intimate space and cooler location than you would find at most big clubs. I booked my party here on the recommendation of a friend, and I was pleasantly suprised. Great crowd and decor, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and as I said, the music was fantastic. I highly recommend this place and we will be back!

What we all want is a good looking crowd and some fun - - Anchor has it - - good looking women AND men! Heard about this hidden gem with its off-beat facade, and it lived up to its reputation. The DJ does awesome mixing that just gets better and better as the (long) nite goes by. Everyone is dancing! In how many bars do people really dance??? And the bartenders are not shy on the alcohol in what are reasonably priced drinks. Want to truly party or have a party, this is the place. No stiffs here. Staff is great. My next party will be at Anchor!

This place was crazy- lots of beautiful people, friendly and accommodating staff, easy reservations, and to top it off it had some of the best music I've heard in Manhattan in awhile. I'm booking my party here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great time!

I booked my party here this past Saturday and had a great time! From the door staff to the waitresses, the staff was totally accommodating and my party went off without a hitch. They had reserved space for me and didn't try to force bottles on us. I recommend this place to anyone looking for great music, a cool crowd, and somthing differant from the normal nightclub bullshit. will definitely be back! Thanks guys! - Leigh
