Great Place to Catch a game on a Sundeee Afternoon

The best place about the NFL experience at SI is that it does not back one specific fan base like so many others bars. Anyone who wants to watch any game and grab a beer with some friends can enjoy a nice rowdy funday at SI. Just watch your effin elbows.

Horrible Experience at The Stumble Inn

By BarReview on 7/20/2009

  • Overall Rating: 1
  • No, I would not go back!

I had an absolutely terrible experience with a security guard at The Stumble Inn. His behavior was completely unacceptable and disrespectful. I am in the media industry and attend many events at locations all over the city (mostly nicer venues, this is just a dive bar) and have never been treated this way in my life. Considering many of their clientele are probably underage, they need to train their employees to handle their paying/legal customers appropriately (note: we had a private group of 50+ in their party room before the incident). I am still completely mortified and upset by this particular doorman's offensive behavior and expect actions to be taken by the owners. The private party room was a good space – clean, large, good bar, etc. so I do hope management can work out the issues with their security staff. Until this happens, I will not be back and will make sure we do not schedule events here again.

Some Hints:

  • If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
  • Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
  • Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
