Great view, average setting and food / cocktails
By smariel on 3/10/2016
I went here last night for post work cocktails. The scenery is fabulous, you're extremely high and have incredible views of the river, bridges, brooklyn and nj. The rotation thing is novel. However, the bar itself has not updated the decor in probably 15 - 20 years, and the quality of the buffet and cocktails are below average. Of course, the prices remain high. I work in the neighborhood so it was ok for one night, but I would not go out of my way to try this. Good for tourists.
I enjoy visiting The View's liounge for a beautiful scene, beautiful food, and drinks with friends.

I've been here on numerous occasions. The view of the cities horizon is awe inspiring. I am hoping tonight to create a memorable experience, even for New York City dwellers that have lived here their entire lives, and yet have never been here. The fondue/dessert spinner is much more appetizing than the pasta/ cold food bar. It's such a special place, that I choose to indulge in the special desserts. I hope you enjoy it too.
It Can Turn For The Better, Or Worse.

Okay,so it spins. It is also in the middle of Times Square, where the tourists reign, and most want to see this place, hence, usually a line.Located in The Marriott. One can have the oppurtunity of experiencing a fair buffet, and later in the night, a small "Disco".Go for the drinks. It is an interesting experience, especially when attempting to recall where your table is if you've gotten up to wash up.
Fabulous, wish they would do something about the cell phones though.

I was there last night and it was wonderful food and impeccable service, however they need to make a policy discouraging the use of cell phones. Towards the end of our meal this gentleman was seated at the table next to us where he promptly started shouting into his phone for the last thirty minutes we were there. But overall: VERY NICE!
