We were enjoying drinks at four separate seaters and one of my guest happen to sunk himself into the chair to relax and unintentionally contacted a part of his heel on the chair.... The host passes by us and yells to him " DON'T PUT YOUR PUT ON THE CHAIR!!" We couldn't believe why he had to reprimand to a customer but we let it go and continued enjoying drinks for another twenty minutes until the same host .. I do not know WHY he had to pass through the impossibly narrow space between the bar table and my guest's seat..he could've go through the otherside w/ no effort.. He w/ a nastiest and rudest way "SCUSE ME!!" and pushes away my guest's chair w/ a strong force that guest's legs hit our table!!! We couldn't believe the whole scene where the bar staff intentionally passes through the tight space to earn an excuse to harass the customer w/ such a childish manner.

WOW! What a memorable night we had. A welcome home to a city that we once called ours. The staff could not be nicer. Not only can their bartender Jonathan create a fantastic martini.....he created a warm and welcoming atmosphere as well. He is as nice as he looks ( if that is possible) ! Thanks to all. Good luck to you Jonathan...hope to see you again soon! Keep em coming...

As stated in Page Six Magazine( Sept 30 2007) Jonathan, the bartender sure is one hot guy. He has such personality and manners that I almost forgot we were in Manhattan. The atmosphere and his company made our evening. (the drinks helped too) I need to get his schedule as we missed him twice this month. (((( Jon come back wherever you are.)))) Hope to catch him on our next visit. Great time...Great drinks...Great people and a real" Hottie" too. Who could ask for anything more? Jen Do you remember me?

Just went to Thom Bar Saturday night. Loved the art work and the eccentric yet classy decor. Great music all night but not too loud. Beautiful people everywhere. Will definitly keep going to this place.

I just went to the Thom Bar the other night, and I just wanted to say that I had an amazing time. The atmosphere was great - the lighting was dim and candle-lit-like; there was a dj in the corner mixing sexy melodies and beats in the corner. I sat in one of the cove-like booths with very comfortable bench-style chairs with lots of stuffing, and looked at the post-modern/industrial mural that monopolizes and camouflages the majority of the back wall - i noticed it was commissioned by an amazing artist (his name escapes me now). The food was delicious - a great blend of mostly Asian influenced food. There was a great mix of beautiful people...very international looking. I know the place has been around for awhile - it looks to be a staple of New York.

I love the Thom Bar. The plush cushions, the world music, the unique bites (LOVE the tuna tartar!), and the lighting make for a great place to grab a quick drink before or after a night out - or as a destination to hang out with friends. The service is great, and the wait staff are as tasty as the food

As New Yorkers are fickle and tend to move on to the newest spot, it is astounding how Thom Bar is still at a highest level in maintaining its status. The food is to die for, drinks are great and service is consistent.

I dined last night- it's amazing how the food is so consistant. An elegant atmosphere and a scene that never seems to go out of style.

Thom Bar is a great spot for a a group to have a relaxed low key time, and still feel posh. The atmosphere indoors is wonderful, and the roof top is the perfect place to have drinks when the weather is nice. The staff is stylish and good looking, but unlike some other similar places they are nice as well. The bar has a unique cocktail menu- I would recomend the ginger cocktail or the lemongrass cocktail. I have two clients who make sure that we make a stop at Thom Bar everytime they are in town. Highly recomended.
