The food and atmosphere were wonderful. They have a $32 lunch prix fix unblievable value and delicious, that is if you like what is offered. They are very cooperative and we changed the dessert to one that we liked and they were delicious.

The food was just ok. They missed the mark with the california cuisine thing. The cod was tasty but it was perfectly square. It reminded me of prefabbed vacuum packed food from Cosco. The filet mignon was just plain terrible. There seemed to be truffle oil in everything. I love truffle oil but enough is enough. The service was inexpert and either rushed or invisible. Maybe things were off because It was Christmas day. Dessert was horrible, the deep fried puff pastry (disgusting enough as is) tasted like it was fried in fat that wasn't cleaned in 10 years. It was sandwiched with gritty, flavorless creme anglais. The meal was one one hundredth as good as Babbo but cost almost twice as much. The banquette seating is WAY too close together even by NYC standards. Because of that, I wouldn't return even if the food and service had been better. A very poor value, in my opinion.

This restaurant remains my perennial favorite . . .everything is top notch, from the banquettes to the food and to the stellar service! I highly recommend this chic, understated luxe restaurant. Portions are not overwhelming and you walk out actually feeling good and not like a stuffed turkey (fabulous dessert included)! May as well consume calories that are REALLY worth consuming!

I went there for a business lunch with a whole team, very nice and quiet. The food is creative and delicious. The service is very nice. Wonderful lunch. I can't anything about the prices, I didn't see the check.

The lamb loin and the creamed potatoes were exquisite, along with the steamed muscles and the chocolate soufle. the atmosphere was calming and comfortable. the service was very nice.

Ive been on a good deal of power lunches and town really sticks out in my mind as a really good restaurant. The quality of the ingredients was excellent and the service was very attentive. I would highly recommend.

"TOWN" Restaurant.Evening of Nov. 18, 2003: One of the members of our party of five being unable to use the stairs we take the elevator down to the restaurant level.Maitre D asks us to go back up and wait for our being called (we were right on time), we try to explain the fact that it would be very inconvenient for one of our party to go up and down again. A VERY rude response followed by the Maitre actually pulling by the arm one of the guests back towards the elevators. Unfortunatly to avoid further inconvenience we decided to stay even if leaving would have been the reasonable reaction.

The narrow bar while cool and trendy is too crowded Go past the reception stand to the lounge overlooking the restaurant. Much more relaxed and chilled.

Town serves the best cocktail in Manhattan. Has a lounge, where you can order from the menu. I recommend the Martinis and Mojitos. Drinks change according to the season
