  • No, I would not go back!

There are some very good restaurant bar combos in New York and the Treehouse and Jimmy's rooftop spots could be one...if it weren't for the issues obvious between management and crew. We've visited some 10 or more times looking for that comfy variety of "our favorite place", but can't get past how we see the staff being treated. The Treehouse and Jimmy's cuisine is nicely limited, similar and bolstered by the DB Kitchen and filled with whimsical treats and lovely libations all making a top shelf experience possible. Now to "let the other shoe drop" so to say..we have never had a staff member complain to us themselves but we have had management complain or make remarks about staff who obviously are busting their asses. Hey boss-man if the crew is working and keeping customers happy maybe you should appreciate them instead of throwing them under the bus, management school does not teach this ridiculous behavior. We have had a few great servers and one in particular that always made us feel very welcome and she was exceptionally cheerful and responsive to every table she worked. When we left one evening with other patrons, everyone commented on this one server's great service and friendly attitude. The manager actually made a point to come and apologize for her behavior....the service was fabulous!...the manager an idiot. Unfortunately after this many chances we won't be coming back...the managerial atmosphere is just not "our kind of place"
