go here for a bad time
By Kateraxxx on 5/8/2013
Are you looking for a place to go to have a great time with a few friends, maybe a client that you are trying to impress? Yea, this is not it. Went here with a group of friends and a client and spent a good amount of money to have the security who claimed to be the owner throw out our half full drinks and clear us off the table for two totally skeevy suited gentlemen. What security guard gets in the face of a group of women and the one guy who tries to stand up for us? We then filed a complaint and the owner, Frank, did not even call us back. He referred the complaint to a bartender, Seth, who tried to rectify the situation by telling us that all 15 of us were lying and his "marine retired cop security" was the only who really knew what happened. This would have been a great place had it not been for the rude staff and getting charged three DIFFERENT times for a couple of beers. If you'd like to have a good time go to Feile where the bartenders actually treat their customers with respect. Order the fries, they're so good!
The one good review is most likely the owner

Giving this place one star is too much. Want the view? Go around the block on 33rd and crane your neck back look straight up the side of the Empire State building from the street -you have the same view. The deck is boxed in by wooden walls and the seating looks as if they got everything from a dive bar that closed down years ago. The prices are nothing to talk about the staff is rude, the place is tiny and the bathroom is nasty. They are not customer friendly and they let you know that. This is not a place to impress a date unless you like to surprise her or him by knowing that the La Quinta inn has a bar on the roof. This is NYC there are too many other places for you to chose from. Stay away.
AVOID THIS BAR AT ALL COSTS!

AVOID THIS BAR AT ALL COSTS! I went here with 12 of my coworkers for a going away party. We were having a great time until the manager, who claimed to be the owner, showed up and started bullying our group. He started tossing drinks that were not finished and clearing tables that were ours to make room for other patrons. When my friend asked him to replace the drinks he was extremely nasty and threatening. When some of us started defending her he starting cursing and yelling, and he called us disrespectful. He started saying we were drunk, when we weren't. We were only in the bar for about an hour and a half. I can't believe they let this guy run the place when he's such a liability. He never apologized for throwing away the drinks and moving our personal items off of the tables and chairs. He was so unprofessional and totally intimidating, especially to the women. He even said I was nobody because he had never seen me at the bar before and didn't care if I never came back. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE unless you want to be treated like shit and hang out in a dumpy, mediocre bar. I have to say, I was scared he was going to throw a punch. Is that any way to treat paying customers?
Nice unpretentious rooftop bar, nice people, great service

Cool place with an amazing view of the Empire state building. Formerly known as Me bar, now under new management is much improved bar, better selection of liquor and good happy hours (5 to 7 pm) every day
