Zombie Hut is definately a great tropical themed escape from the woes of reality. After a giant frozen zombie, you are wisked away to a lovely little place in the dark, playing battle ship or connect four. Did I mention how much i love frozen zombies??? its cheap, its tropical themed and its a great place to pre-game or hang out and be low key. MMMMMMMM zombie.

You can do far better on Smith Street! You'll find the crowd here very mean, a lot of LOUD frat boy types. The place is too small and crowded. The night we were there the bartender was screwing up everyone's orders.

I can't say enough about this bar. Smith St. seems to have a new bar opening every other week and most don't seem to add much to the strip. Tiki Hut, however, is a welcome and novel addition. While small, the decoration is first-rate ersatz Polynesian. The specialty drinks are tasty and inexpensive (and the Tiki decor makes it OK for straight men to suck down mai tais all night). To boot, the owner seems to have great taste in music. Tuesday appears to be music night and the small ensembles have been great the last two times I was there. No kitchen, but the friendly bartenders constantly replenish the bowls of cheddar and pretzel goldfish. The Scorpion bowl for two is great for a date (I'd recommend buying the one for four, as it goes quickly). If you're on Smith St. and enjoy ambiance, definitely check this place out.
