I love this place because it made me like getting my hair cut again. I never could find a salon that gave me a cut I liked or could deal with. Daniel takes the time to figure out who you are and what your style is, and then cuts your hair like a magician. I live in Vermont now and come back to 2b to get my hair cut - it's the only place I'll go.

Daniel of Salon 2b is a True Master of Cut and Color and Hair Health Restoration. You and your hair will benefit from his thorough knowledge, the superior products he uses, and his expert cutting and styling that brings out the best you. Daniel always makes sure you look your best not just when you leave his salon but right up until your next appointment with in-between appointments styling advice and how-to demos. There are very few people I'd follow around the city, but Daniel Rechelbacher ranks at the top of that list. I've been entrusting my locks to him for the last seven years and recommend him every chance I get. There is no match for his combination of passion for great hair AND down-to-earth, welcoming personality. It is because of this that I trust him every time to take my small inkling of an idea and turn it into a fabulous haircut and perfect, creative color. Salon 2b is exactly the kind of place you want to escape to for a couple of hours. You will come out looking and feeling amazing....and like you just had a great time hanging out with a good friend, all the while surrounded by great art and music. A perfect vibe. I so very highly recommend Salon 2b.

I took a chance on Salon 2b five years ago based on a Web review, and I’ve been going back ever since. I’m a wash-n-go kind of girl, and Daniel always gives me a great cut that looks good anywhere, anytime. If I have an idea for a cut, he listens and improves; if I’m clueless, he suggests. What really impresses me is that he remembers all our prior cuts, and how my hair behaves seasonally. And, he’s generous with DIY tips - he really wants you to look good!

I have been seeing Daniel for all of my hair needs since I moved to NYC three years ago. I cannot imagine going to see or trusting my hair with anyone else. As a male with longer blond hair, it is hard to find someone that I have complete trust with when cutting my hair. He is truly an artist when it comes to hair and you can sense that when discussing with him what you want to do with your hair when you go to see him. If you make an appointment, I assure you, you will walk out completely satisfied.

I have been going to Daniel for years and every haircut is absolute perfection, I would never go anywhere else. I have sent multiple friends/family his way and they are loyal customers now as well. It's such a pleasant experience everytime I go and is basically a private haircut in a beautiful loft with different art displayed every 2-3 months. If you don't know what you want, Daniel will come up with something fabulous.. I am never disappointed!! I have never liked my hair long and based on recent haircuts, I now love it! I can't say enough about Daniel's superb skill and friendliness!

Words do not do justice to how I feel about Daniel. I literally walk out of there as if I have had a transformation. It changes my mood– I literally see myself through different eyes when I leave his studio as if he had given me a big dose of self confidence from his haircut. I leave radiating joy. I trust no one else with my hair. Every haircut is better than the previous (I don’t know he does that!!) Words do not do justice to how amazingly talented Daniel is - do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a haircut by Daniel. I am willing to bet after one haircut, you will never go anywhere else. It is like a sanctuary where you feel restored and beautified while you are in their care! I highly recommend Daniel and Salon 2b to everyone

I've gotten spoiled by years of good hair days with Daniel. Just last night I got another complement on my hair. It's happened often since I started going to him two salons before 2B. He has a way of getting things just right so that I can easily replicate his look at home. The icing on the cake is that a trip to 2B is more like a mini-trip to the spa than to get a haircut. The neck rub, the (gratis) glass of wine, the hot tea, the ever-changing art on the walls, a totally sweet golden retriever, Chai. He's become a good friend who happens to (brilliantly) cut my hair.

I have been stopped at places around the world and asked about my haircut! Salon 2B and Daniel are a dream: perfection! Warm and inviting, the salon is refreshing and intimate compared to the often pretentious alternatives. Daniel's hair cuts are to die for; as they look just as flawless as the cut grows out. You are given one-on-one attention to make sure your cut matches your personality, wants and needs. You are given expert, trustworthy advice. Daniel is also a master colorist. I have never had my hair dyed (in my 30s), and after greying, Daniel dyed my hair to match my natural hair color EXACTLY! He is genius. I now live out of state, but I still travel back to NYC to get my hair done at Salon 2b. I cannot say enough and you cannot go wrong: Salon 2b is as good as it gets!
