Wonders of the Needle
By jkelly on 5/3/2010
My friends all tried it so I gave it a shot. I had been a long time sufferer of PMS which included migraines and irritability. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous about needles but after exhausting all of my other options, I knew I would be foolish not to try. My colleague recommended Iris to me and since coming in for treatments, I've become an acupuncture addict! No kidding. I feel so relaxed after my sessions that I now schedule my appointments after work. Since my first session with Iris, two-months ago, the migraines have lessened considerably. So much so that other people have commented that "I'm a lot nicer". Iris accepts my insurance which is also a major plus!

I have always been fearful of needles so acupuncture was never an option for me. This past year I have suffered from terrible headaches and decided to give acupuncture a try. Iris is gentle, patient and understanding. I have had ten sessions so far and I definitely feel a difference. I get headaches less frequently and I feel calmer. I highly recommend Iris Netzer as an acupuncturist. You will not be disappointed!

Iris is a wonderful accupuncturist, she is kind, caring and sweet. Conveniently located in midtown manhattan, the place is very clean and a calming atmosphere with a nice and quiet waiting room. I was having terrible migraines and contacted her on a Saturday eager to get treatment, she came in especially for me on her day off to get me started within 48 hours. I call her my miracle worker. Plus she gives a nice massage for a couple of minutes at the end which I always look forward to. I highly recommend Iris for anyone looking for an incredible accupuncture session. Going to her is a wonderful experience.

Iris made me feel very comfortable in her cozy little setting. She was very good at explaining things to me. She is readily available when I call or email. I've made great progress with the treatment of my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Her treatments keep my flare ups at bay. I look forward to seeing her each week.

I'm pregnant! Pinching myself now, still can't believe it. My husband and I have been trying to conceive now for nearly a year. There was nothing medically "wrong" with me so my doctor thought it would be good to give acupuncture a try, and thank god I found Iris. What I appreciated most about Iris's approach was her warmth and her ability to relate. If you're looking for fertility support or overall wellness, Iris is the one. I can't say enough good things.
I can play tennis

Iris treated me for tendonitis in my shoulder which not only caused me tremendous pain but prevented me from playing my favorite game. I was referred to Iris through a colleague and went in not expecting much. My ortho was already talking surgery so I'm glad I kept an open mind. My pain went from a 9.5 to a 3 within 4 sessions.

I scheduled with Iris an acupuncture appt, heard it was good for relaxation. A few days later I was diagnosed with cancer. I called to cancel, thinking I needed to focus my energy on my illness. Iris convinced me otherwise. She said that acupuncture is helpful in boosting the immunity and treating my side effects (fatigue, headaches, etc.) I now look forward to my weekly visits with Iris. She's warm and caring, the key ingredients to any professional.

I found Iris through a sale promotion on Gilt. I had never tried acupuncture before but had heard great things. I have been dealing with spasms in my lower back on- and-off for years and thought "What have I got to lose?". After two acupuncture sessions, I felt unbelievable better. Iris had told me that it may take a few weeks to see much improvement so I wasn't expecting to feel that much better so quickly. Thanks Iris. I'm so glad I found you.

For anyone suffering from arthritis, groin injury, constant tension in certain areas of the body etc... the list goes on... give acupuncture a try! It really works! More importantly, I felt much better after the first visit! Iris has successfully treated me for three different ailments. Her treatments provided pain relief and promoted flexibility. I found Iris to be personable, professional, and patient. I felt extremely well cared for, and success is the best judge. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first heard about acupuncture as a possible remedy for pain alleviation. However, I am now a firm believer in its powerful effects. Iris is an effective acupuncturist. The inflammation In my knees, wrists, and fingers has been reduced and I now have an increase range of movement.

I'm by nature a cautious person so when I finally came around to trying acupuncture, it was quite the ordeal for me. I was 'happily surprised' (as noted in my review title) by Iris's ability to ease my nerves. My reason for coming is for my anxiety/stress. She didn't seem at all annoyed by my questions (I had a lot of them). Iris treats me on a regular basis now. I never imagined I'd be one of those people, but here I am. I really look forward to my visits.
