Lucy has cut my hair twice now and has done a great job. She listens to what I want and doesn't try to tell me what I should do. I don't usually like chatting but she is easy to talk to and very sweet. Also, does a great job drying and straightening my unruly hair (most stylists complain about it). I would recommend.

I found Cutting Image salon on NY mag and it was the best decision I made! I am from the UK and struggled for a while to find somewhere that was within budget and that do good updos and makeup! Nicki did our makeup and Melissa our hair and everyone at the wedding commented on how great the we looked. Nicki and Melissa were fantastic!!! Would definitely recommend this place for bridal hair and makeup. Thanks Nicki and Melissa, you two are the best.

I discovered Monique 10yrs ago ,when she was featured on the cover of Time Out ,as a Vidal Sasson trained stylist who gave fantastic haircuts for very reasonable prices. I have trusted no one else with my hair since then. She is simply amazing

I'm relatively new to the city, had gotten three bad haircuts in a row, was looking for a good salon. Was choosing between this and three others and decided on Cutting Image because it sounded like they really listen to you and it sounded like a comfortable place. It turns out everything that I read is absolutely true. It's completely cozy, no attitude, but they also really deliver with the haircuts (and the wine too!). I got my hair cut by Nikki. She was really personable, spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly what I was looking for, totally fixed the disaster that the last haircut was and now I can start to have fun hair again. Because they're all Tony and Guy, they'll go as funky as you want them to, but it seems like they would totally do a good classic cut as well. Will definitely be going back. And a decent price--less than $100 for a consultation/cut.
