ASK FOR DONNIE, The Worlds Most Interesting Barber. He has a seperate review board you can post comments on... but you have to be a leader of a country in order to post.

This salon looks promising, but personally I prefer my favorite Charm Beauty Salon in Brooklyn.

Yes, I would go back!

I read about astor place online. Heard good things from others and decided to try it out myself. i went to regina. she knew exactly what i wanted. she cut and blow dried my hair. She was very sweat and did an amazing job. i told everyone of my friends about her and all said good things about her and the way she works. if you ever need a good cut or blow dry Regina is your go to girl. SHE IS AMAZING!

...and that's what I got. Regardless, I kind of enjoy the feel of Astor...very old school New York. The first time I went, I asked for a wash and cut, no blowdry...the stylist says, "Good, because I don't feel like blowdrying it." It made me chuckle. She did a great job, as has every other stylist I've ever encountered at Astor, for a rock bottom price of 20-25 bucks. I will never go anywhere else.

Ireena's the best

Yes, I would go back!

Ireena is new yorks' best kept secret. Everything i've asked her to do, she has done to the smallest detail. She is great at following direction and allowes me to have the specific style that i always wanted. Its just great when you and your stylist are on the same page. I'll be telling all my friends about her.

I was blown away by the exceptional service i received from Ireena. The price i would normally expect to pay for such quality would at least be $50. I have been going to her for 3 years and recommending her to all my friends. If you try her once you'll get hooked as well.

Sal the barber

Awesome! Absolutely the best barber there! Brought my 2 year old son and husband for haircuts, my 2 year old got a mohawk and when he started to get fidgity, Sal gave him his water gun and he was making him laugh hysterical the whole time. He definately has a knack for children, my son keeps asking me when are we going to see Sal. He took his time to listen and explain back to us how exactly we wanted our haircuts. He truly made us feel very at ease and filled with confidence. He has been cutting hair for over 20 years and my husband,son, and I were all very pleased at his customer service and attention to detail. Definately the most pleasurable experience around town and the price was very reasonable, enough to go every week back to Sal :)

I had to ban Fran

She brings her problems with her to work and is a hyper nut . She even had the nerve to speak behind my back to my husband. She knew I was coming all the way from the State of Florida and I trusted her completely as she always did such a beautiful job for three consistent years. She knew I was appearing on a reality show and how I again needed the same cut. She rushed me and cut my hair into a mullet and for no reason she was rude and abrupt. When I called her to talk with her she said she was busy and never to call her

Jose is the best in the business

i've been going to jose for about 10 years now. i've had switched barbers a few times and when i finally tried jose, he was able to give me any cut i want and do it perfectly (i've had a few different hairstyles while going to him for cuts). so if you ever get confused with all the barbers in there and have a difficult time finding the write one...ask for Jose Jose!

No, I would not go back!

Had my hair cut by Ali, who has done good work for friends of mine. My cut, though, was a disaster. Ali disregarded every last one of my preferences and instructions, burned me repeatedly with the dryer and flatiron, and left me with a miserable, unflattering cut that did not reflect my express wishes. He talks incessantly (and incomprehensibly) and does not listen. I will never again do business with this place.
