I originally wrote a pretty harsh review of this place, because I went in with really high expectations (given the Critic's Pick and mysteriously glowing review). I still think it doesn't really deserve either or those, but I'm amending my view since I got a better cut there since. So here: it's nothing special, but it's solid, and it's cheap. The original reviewer is still totally lying. You will not see famous people here, or receive any special pampering. But it's trimmer and scissors, and 66% of the time you'll be satisfied. The other 33% you'll write scathing diatribes on NYMag demanding that the original reviewer S your D for misleading you. Not the worst odds, I guess.

Went to get a haircut; it was too long (didn't even cut the hairs on the top of my head). Went back the next day to ask for them to shorten the top: he cut off all my hair and charged me all over again, even though he screwed up the first time and fixing it took less than 5 minutes. Don't do it if you like your hair or money.
