I started with Bollywood dance classes last year, kind of got hooked and then started taking Bhangra classes as well. If you love Indian music and dance, this is the place to be!! Pooja is an awesome teacher. On top of that, you get a bunch of great friends who make the whole experience truly enjoyable!!

As a former performer and dancer, it has been wonderful to find a dance class in the city that is challenging, unique, and that provides the kind of artistic community I have missed so much from my performing days. I had no experience with any form of Indian dance before taking classes at Bollywood Axion, and there couldn't have been a better person than Pooja to introduce me to this style of dance. She is an articulate, dynamic and an incredibly patient teacher and choreographer, who not only has a vast knowledge of multiple dance styles, but also has the ability to teach them to students of all levels. Over the past few years of studying dance with her, I have grown a great deal as a dancer in both technique and style, and most importantly, have found a place to express the joy I have for dance in a friendly and supportive environment.

I joined the class almost 2 years ago, on the behest of my friends who wanted to learn bollywood dancing. They decided to drop out of the class after a month due to their busy schedules but I enjoyed the bollywood classes and the people there, so much that I decided to stay. After spending almost a year doing Bollywwod, I decide to try out Bhangra as well and to say the least, it has been some of the best times I have spent dancing. The people are great and I have made some great friendships which I am sure will last me a lifetime. Pooja is an awesome dance teacher and I am really lucky to have her.

From my very first class, I knew I was hooked. The music, the moves, the welcoming and supportive atmosphere, always left me with a big smile on my face. I was very sad to leave BAX when I returned to the UK in 2007 but four years later I'm back and couldn't wait to return to class. Nothing's changed. Pooja's choreography is still just as innovative and perfectly suited to her great song choices. Her energy is infectious and the classes provide me with a fantastic physical and mental workout. I love the fact that the students then get the opportunity to feel special and perform their routines in a show. I strongly recommend BAX to anyone looking for a great workout whilst having lots of fun and making new friends.

I have been taking Bollywood and Bhangra classes with Pooja for six months. When I first entered the class I thought... "Hmm I think I'm in the wrong studio, I signed-up for begginners and these people are already dancing sooo well!". It turned out I was in the correct class, and with Pooja's fun guidance, you can do it as well! Monday's are now the best day of the week, because I'm eagerly looking forward to the next class!

a south asian dance studio, you've just found one, Bollywood Axion. This dance studio offers traditional bhangra and modern bollywood classes, perfect for beginners (that's me) and advanced. If need exercise, bhangra is much better than any aerobics class. Or just want to learn how to dance to indian music, Pooja Narang will teach you. She works at your pace and teaches with such grace and professionalism. Simply a fun and joyful place to be...for me every tuesday and saturday and I don't want to miss it...

Yes, I have commitment issues...but BAX has kept me in love for 1 year and 2 months now!!! Bhangra hooked me in...especially with Pooja's choreography and the music is poppin'! Then I ventured out to bollywood and now I just can't stop. Got me in shape. Bhangra - depends on music, choreography can vary from more traditional Panjabi style to a bit more fusion contemporary bhangra. Bollywood - also varies...love learning them all! Be careful, you might get addicted!

Absolutely LOVE these classes! The class is high energy and lots of fun! The best part being the instructor always tries to help you out no matter what your skill level is.. I go for both the bhangra and bollywood and I'm yet to decide which class I like better :)

I have been taking classes at Bollywood Axion for many years and can't say enough good things about it. On top of being great exercise, it's an incredibly fun thing to do with a diverse group of people who love music and dance of all kinds but especially from Indian films. I promise that it'll be the best thing you do all week!
