If you are NOT into loud music, rude people, packed classes, and bad lighting then CLAY is the the club for you. As a freelancer, I can literally spend all day there. Classes are small, no waiting for my favorite elliptical, good weight area, CLEAN LOCKER ROOMS, I can have a fritatta and smoothie afterwards, then head to the member lounge or the fireplace with free WiFi to get some work done or invite a client for a meeting. I will disagree with the other comment. Spa guests DO pay a guest fee if they would like to workout. But they are given a discount since they had a treatment. Only improvement? Front desk service could be better. But it's probably due to a rotating door of reception staff. But all in all, a nice, private club. A refreshing departure from the usual pack 'em-in-chain-gyms in NYC.

Actually, non-members who purchase a spa service at CLAY also receive a complimentary day pass, so you can get full access to the club, including the saunas, lounges, and roof deck.
