I started going to completely bare about 3 years ago for facial and body hair that I wanted to remove permenantly with a laser. At the time CB was the only place that offered it. I've been there 17 times and $7000 later and it hasn't worked. I advised Cindy B. the owner and she told me NOTHING THERE IS GUARANTEED. I would advise getting this done at a doctors office so noone else will go through what I did. Also, the charge $120 for every 15 min touch up when other places charge per area like they're supposed to. On top of everything the prices have been raised three times since I started there.

If you are new to waxing, this is not the place for you. I tried their "relax" wax, which supposedly, according to a news story I heard, numbs the top surface of your skin. Not true! It's simply an attempt at making you think your not feeling the hair being ripped out of your skin. Also, when I made my appt. I told them that it was a first time for me and that I have sensitive skin. During my leg waxing I was repeatedly told that I don't have sensitive skin but that I simply don't have any threshold for pain. Basically, I was treated poorly the entire time I was there, left to clean the extra wax off myself, not given antiseptic and made to feel like experiencing pain is "weird". My advice, go anywhere else!
Better off doing it yourself!

I spent $154 dollars for what was partially a gynocological exam. Not new to the waxing game, it was as if she was making a cast of my "area", literally poking her hands around every crack and crevice. And this "gourmet" wax they use was supposed to make the hair grow back in less time...it grew back sooner! She was whipping the wax everywhere; the room was covered! I've never been asked to hold my skin this way or that, contort my lip a certain way for the waxer before. I did have to request anticeptic and she did not know what I meant. Just because Completely Bare is advertised in fashion magazines, has cute little ads, and is well decorated, DOES NOT make it the place to get your body buff!

I went to the Bond St. location thinking I was going to get a top quality wax (especially for the price I was paying) and walked away in shock... some claim this is the best spa to get a brazilian- I had the worst experience here!!! The girl gave me the most painful wax I had ever had! She seemed like she had no idea what she was doing! I left no tip and will never return.

I've went to CB on the recommendation of a friend. I made the appoitment for full legs and brazilian. The "spa" is on the 5th floor of an old walk-up on Madison with creaky stairs. For that price I'd like it to be a true spa experience - not part of my cardio routine. When I got to the treatment room the tech told me she only had me down for full leg and if there was time she'd squeeze in the brazilian. Well, she squeezed it in by missing entire areas on my legs and the brazilan was less than "completely bare". To make things worse it was so painful and when I said something she told me that she was rushing to get the whole thing done. AWFUL! JUST AWFUL! Save your money, go elsewhere.

Came here for a brazilian and laser and experienced the worst customer service ever. Extremely impersonal and sterile, in person and on the phone. It says something when you can't build rapport with staff at the salon and have to go through a national answering service. They're really giving up service for expansion which is not good business. Why would any one go here? It's overpriced and a bit pretentious, and overall the experience doesn't warrant any of it. Stay away.
Worst service in Manhattan

This spa is a joke. I have 2 prepaid laser packages from them and I can't use them because they are not reachable - as in, for the past two weeks I have been calling everyday to schedule an appointment and there is nobody to answer their phones, no matter how long I hold or how many times I call back. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've encountered anywhere. I do not recommend this spa to anyone and will demand a refund of my money as soon as I can get a hold of this mess of a business.

I was so upset about my experience there. First they call 3 times to confirm. I told her it was too excessive and she said she would put a note in my file saying to only call me once. I tried to explain to her its too excessive to call anyone that many times, but i will let other ppl fight there battles. they were lazy and rude and the manager told my waxer that she couldn't take a break until she had worked a full 6 hours. I did not need to hear that argument between them. I bought one of their products and deciding to take it the manager said to me" oh, you can get one over there on the wall" she should have gotten up and got it for me. waxing missed spots and burned me. NEVER GOING BACK!
