The Perfect Match
By NadishaPerera on 6/16/2010
For me, the hardest part of moving to New York was having to leave behind my stylist who cut my hair ever since I was 14. And when the time came to get a hair cut, I searched for my perfect match in a frenzy. But I needn't have worried - I came across De Berardinis salon quite by accident. I was walking along 21st street, and there it was, this warm friendly space, beckoning me in. It took one haircut for me to fall in love - De Berardinis was my perfect match. Adrian is truly an artist - he managed to create a fashionably edgy, yet classic look without sacrificing my hair length. I walked out feeling as pretty as one should feel after leaving the hands of a great stylist, and I've never been anywhere else in Manhattan. Thank you De Berardinis!
Why I love NY
By sarasmeyer on 6/5/2010
As a true New York City girl I love De Berardinis. No attitude, just great service in a fun and professional atmosphere. The staff goes above and beyond to make the client happy. Any of the stylists would take their time to explain hair-care and teach you how to do what they did. Although the prices are competitive with most NY salons, I think they are reasonable and you get more than you pay for! I love Andrew for cuts and Amanda for color.
forever loyal! a beautiful oasis of a salon.

I have been a client of Adrian since he was an apprentice 6 years ago and knew from the start I'd never stray. He is absolutely amazing! Adrian is very calm, focused and attentive. And even without direction he can read your style and you'll be amazed by the end product if you give him the reigns. I often times tell him to just do his thing and sit back and enjoy a glass of wine. The salon is beautifully designed by Celerie Kemble and despite being a high-end salon, has a very laid-back and friendly appeal. I also love my colorist Angela, she has a knack for getting those oh-so-subtle, barely-there, sun-kissed highlights on brunettes that look like you just spent a week in the sun. I could go on and on... I love it there and always look forward to my next appt!
Best Haircolorist in New York--Mike P.
By Jaycee7 on 6/21/2009
De Berardinis is an excellent hair salon, which is reasonably priced for its Manhattan location. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome immediately. The main reason that I go to De Berardinis is that Mike P. has joined the staff there. Mike P. is simply one of the best hair colorists in New York, and he has been highlighting my hair for years. Mike P. has an excellent eye, not only for color, but for what will work for you individually. He can create beautifully effective color and highlights, which demonstrate his keen understanding of subtle color and light. While he has to sometimes be attentive to a couple of customers at the same time when the salon is extremely busy (as can happen in all hair salons), he makes sure to give his full attention to the details of each customerÂ’s hair process and to make sure that your color is to your satisfaction. Mike P. is a perfectionist and someone who clearly takes pride in a job well done. I give him my highest recommendation to anyone who is looking for an excellent hair colorist.
Adrian is a hair genius!

I visited De Berardinis twice this year, and that is because when Adrian cuts your hair, not only you look like an italian model now, but also five months from now. I wash my hair, dry it upside down, run my finger through it and it looks like I just left the salon, moth after month, could not be happier. Katia gave me highlights and a glaze that came out very natural and I was pampered by the staff the entire time I was there. A bit pricy, but given your cut will look fantastic three times longer makes it a better value, and you"ll get a ton of compliments!
