Great choice for a DIY bride
By aliciafawn on 8/1/2007
I'm getting married in a few months and went to Trish McEvoy for a pre-wedding make up lesson. The artist running my lesson listened to what I had to say, had great ideas, and went slowly enough that I could master each part of the application. She also asked questions about my existing skill level (low to medium) so I didn’t end up with a look I could never recreate on my own. The $300 price tag sounds steep until you see the amount of makeup you will leave with—everything from eye makeup remover, to concealer, to lip gloss. You even get sent home with Q tips and a buffing puff. Literally, everything but the brushes. I highly recommend.

I recently tried to book an appointment with a gift certificate that I was give a little over a year ago. When I called to make the appointment I realized that there was a note on the back that stated the card expired one year after issing. I explained my situation and asked if they would still honor it - seeing as it had only been a couple months not several years. I was put on hold and then abruptly told "NO - we can't" and then they hung up on me. I realize that a company needs to do their best to stick to their policies but where did the times of decent and kind customer service go?
