I brought my 2-yr old daughter to the Dramatics on Broadway @ 92nd today b/c we are trying to save money and they advertise $19.95 in the window. The stylist butchered her hair; the bangs are uneven and way too short; the rest of the hair is choppy and it's just a crappy cut that took a ridiculously long time because the stylist was not very skilled and was also obviously very uncomfortable cutting a child's hair (so why did the front desk send us to her??). It was not because my child was super fidgety; she is actually pretty good at sitting still and has had her hair cut at an 'adult' salon before (at a Pro Cuts in Massachusetts, for much less money, in much less time, and with much better results). I seriously felt like grabbing my kid away a few different times to try to curtail the damage. I didn't want to make a scene. To add insult to injury, the cashier charged me $36, claiming that it was a child's hair cut and had taken a really long time. (Aaah! this was because she lacked skill and/or experience and just kept cutting and cutting to try to cover up her mistakes!!) It's one of those classic NYC experiences where you get so ripped off you feel violated. Luckily my little sweetie is oblivious, it will grow out, and we'll go to a better stylist and salon next time.
BAD EXPERIENCE @ 158 23rd st & 77 5th ave

At 23rd street my experience was awful but not as bad as 5th Ave. my hair is uneven and does not look like my photo. the manager Flex gave me excellent customer satisfaction and he accepted my dissatisfaction by refunding my money. his new receptionist (not dior) is another "Drama"tics bad story. she did not process the return properly since she is not familiar with the credit card machine? she charged me twice instead of refunding me. now my bank account is overdrawn, banks charge $35 in overdraft fees. i need a double refund. stressful. she did not recgonized her mistake and does not possess customer service skills. instead of making calls herself to their accounting department i had to use my own cell phone to do so, INCOMPETENT! its a shame the receptionist had to spoil a situation that was working itself out for the better. i genuinely liked my stylist (will not mention name) and flex the manager. the chain just lost a customer that bought their hair care products as well, enough is enough. ALL DRAMATICS ARE CUTTING CORNERS ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL HEAD OF HAIR!!
