I found Albert and his crew when I was doing research to cut my hair really short. He did a superb job and every time I go (it's been 5 years and counting!!) I come out with a complete different look. The place is a lot of fun to hang out, and not only he is incredible as a stylist, he is a master of color. I have recommended their services to several friends, who are now also huge fans, and I will keep doing so!

I am not a new client but when I come there it feels like the first time. Always-great service, great people, and Amazing stylists! Jacob always does my hair! But this time when I came I wanted to do something new and try new thing on my hair. I decided to change my color from black to golden blonde! That was a huge change for me because I have never colored my hair in light colors. While Jacob was doing my hair he told me about Keratin Treatment and it sounded so good and I told him to do it right after the color and he said Ok. When he finished to do my hair it was amazingly beautiful, soft, no frizz, and when I touched my hair it was like I'm touching a silk! THANK YOU JACOB FOR AMAZING CHANGE IN MY HAIR!!
Albert is great

I love this place! Good specials. Cool prices. Friendly people and that is what I like! Every time I go in, they are always offering me coffee, tea, wine, water-- I think that's nice because I never get asked that at other places. I always recommend this place to my friends and family, they never disappoint. Besides all that my color and brazilian blowout always comes out the best!
extremely satisfied and happy client

I love Jacob! You may think "these reviews are TOO amazing!" But, THEY ARE TRUELY REAL and Jacob is the REAL THING. My cut and color from Jacob gave me a perfectly casual and breezy look at the same time as it is a genuine hair style that feels really current without making me look or feel like a fashion victim. It's also crazy easy to create different looks. That goes a long way for me because, trust me, I'm not one to spend a whole lot of time styling. It also continues to look great as it grows out. The mark of a fabulous cut and color. I think the thing that sets Jacob apart is that he really really listens. You don't even really realize how much he's listening to everything you've said until days later when you're noticing new little things about your hair. For me: low maintenance style, check; no more roots, check; natural looking color, check! He even figured out a way for me to part my hair in the middle -- something I've never been able to do without looking severe. Jacob listens and gets you what you want. Aaamazing. Also, he's super nice and super cute! I highly recommend him!
Hottest spot in the city! Best stylist around.

All I can say is that I was lucky enough to be able to have Jacob give me the Brazilian Blowout and cut/style both my hair after a terrible experience at a salon in Florida. Artistik's prices are incredibly reasonable, especially by N.Y. standards, and he is the best that I've experienced to date. Coming in with an over processed colored dry hair with confused cut to a "silky smooth" (as he would say it) transformation by Jacob was priceless. I truly appreciate that he is so good at what he does. He do not need to keep you in the chair for hours on end. I couldn't be happier! I dont have the time to spend the entire day at a hair salon. And I feel sorry for cheating on Jacob. I live in the West Village and Jacob is worth the trip. I do not mind going the extra mile for the best salon experience (in my opinion) in town. Love their wine. The last time I was there it was so crowded. My only fear is that Artistik salon will become SO popular that it will make it a little more challenging to get in to see him. I never feel any pressure to purchase hair care product in the salon (I find that his styling products work much better on my hair than the others I have tried, and a little goes a long way so you get the best value for your money). If you are fed up with terrible salon experiences, or if you are looking to try a new place, I would HIGHLY recommend Jacob @ Fine Artistik Salon. It's modern & hip! In my opinion, this is the best salon for the best value in New York City!
Dr. Albert of Fine Artistik Salon

My first colour and haircut experience in a "New York City" chain salon two years ago was so awful that I hated getting my colour and haircuts in NYC all in general! Right after my unfortunate experience I had to go back to work. I was SO embarrassed that when I got to work I straight headed to the restroom and tears pouring out I was looking in the mirror and not recognizing my hair and myself. I had golden blonde hair with highlights, I asked if I can get my roots touched up and I walked out with jet-black hair (for those who had the same experience I am sure you can feel my pain). While I was balling out a co-worker walked into the restroom and told me she had a good doctor. The doctor is located on 77 street. His name is Albert. I called the salon right away and scheduled for the earliest available appointment time. They heard my situation and told me I can come in right away so Albert can take a look at my hair and provide me with a consultation. I was at the salon in a heartbeat! He fixed my terrible colour and cut, and I haven't seen anyone else since. Albert is a perfectionist. His colouring and cutting skills allow me to leave the salon absolutely loving my hair and myself!! Still every time I visit Albert and when I leave the salon, I am amazed by how natural and seamless the colour is. Friends and co-workers even said "this is what your natural colour should be". His color is as thorough and meticulous as his cuts are. I feel lucky to know Dr.Albert!
Sharing my experiece at Fine Artistik Salon with Albert

Finding a hair salon in the city is easy but finding a good hair stylist is tough! I am happy that I finally have found my stylist! Albert is an outstanding artistic, creative stylist! I live up the block from the salon and every time I would pass by the salon I would always see Albert working and being busy with the clients. Finally I decided to go on their website and look up the salon. Beautiful website with a lot of useful information that made me call and schedule an appointment with Albert. I scheduled a full head of highlights and a haircut. I arrived a few minutes earlier and was lucky to catch a glimpse of Albert's work. We had a consultation, I showed him pictures of how I would like for my hair to look. We exchanged ideas and came to a conclusion. We both picked what would look best for me. My color and cut came out perfect. Above my expectations. At the salon they offer you water, hot tea, coffee or wine. The overall experience was a real delight plus my hair hasn't looked this great in a while.
Best of New York City

I've been lucky with most of hair color and cuts, and only a few times suffered dismal hair experiences in other salons but never with Albert. Even so, it's still reassuring to know that I won't have to go through that horror ever again! Albert is a true artist, and a big part of the reason he is so highly rated is that he simply and obviously enjoys what he does. You can see the passion in his eyes. He is creative, enthusiastic, intelligent and funny. His prices are beyond reasonable for what he does and the way he does it, and the service is spectacular. Even when I'm unsure exactly what I want done, Albert always seems to know for me and each time he talks and gives me a consultation. I have never been disappointed, and have been a client for almost two years. I did stray from him once, and went to a different stylist who completely messed up my hair :( I know and am confident that Albert offers a better haircut at a much more reasonable price. I only hope he's not angry with me for two-timing him! My roommate has also been going to Albert for a year. And while I can't speak for her but I will say that, every time I see her after visiting Albert, she looks better each time. Seriously, this guy, can do anything, and he will do whatever he can to fit you in. Just be prepared to keep up your end of the conversation because sarcasm will be thrown your way!
must see Jacob for your cuts and styles

So as a girl with long hair, that hates getting her hair cut. I was told Jacob from Artistik Salon was the man to see. I put it off for a while until my hair started to look like an over sized loaf of bread. So after getting off work earlier then anticipated I called to see if they would take me right away, they said sure come in. Where else can you throw in a last minute call in the evening and get what turned out to be the best hair cut of my life. Most cutters can't handle my hair. But Jacob knew exactly how to tame the beast. He took his time working on my hair. His laid back relaxed presents made it easier to talk to him about the hair my life and what ever. Which for me has not been the case with other cutters. However if you watch as he cuts its like an artist sculpting a figure, he is focused and creating, thinking about his next move.. He knows and understands how hair grows and pays attention to personal hair traits. As he told me "a good hair cut should lay right even after you wash your hair and that is how you determine a good cut". His blowout was polished, frizz free and lasted me almost the entire week. I don't plan on getting my hair cut anywhere else while I am living in NY. And It is well worth your time even if you don't live uptown.
