I walked into Fekkai needing someone to correct the highlighting blunder made by Salon AKS the day before. I requested a consult with Jeffrey who was recommended by a stylist. I am a visitor to NYC and Jeffrey had no idea who I was but he came out anyway. Not only did Jeffrey squeeze me in on the spot, he was professional about the highlights done at the previous salon. He was so kind throughout the process. Though I only get to NYC about 3 times a year, Jeffrey will be the only colorist I see when I am here.

Its Tough out there

My experience at Fekkai for my hair service was phenominal.. granted it could become a little hectic at times. I give them alot of credit, they have to deal with many different types of people all day.. and maintain an amazing attitude.. its tough out there..The reason I will never leave Fekkai is becuase it doesn't matter whose chair you sit in, you will always be in good hands. They have amazing training and it shows. To the clients who seem to be unhappy, I highly doubt hair is all they have to complain about... it takes all kinds. They do charge, but its an experience..

You get what you pay for.

There are many things in life that are overrated, from the big fashion houses to expensive wine, but that really depends on your perspective. If your hair is not important to you, if you don't prefer a little pampering, then don't go to Fekkai. But if you want a hair cut that looks like a work of art that will literally turn heads, then you have found your salon. I was a little skeptical for this, my first visit, especially after reading about a few disappointments, but the attentive and friendly staff, my incredible stylist, and the calm atmosphere (at 8 am, I might add) completely convinced me that I will never again pay any less for a haircut.

Amazing hairstylist ' Seiji Kitazato'

I must say that this salon is the best in nyc. I believe that my hairstylist Seiji Kitazato ( creative director) is absolutely one of the most talented person in hair & beauty industry. He is friendly, honest, witty, fast and so professional. I've been struggling so much with my hair until I met him. He makes me look beautiful and My struggling time is gone! :) If anyone wants feminine, natural, and sexy styles, I highly recommend this place and Seiji. His price is higher than junior stylists but it is so worth it. This salon is one of my heavenly places in the city. :)
