My first visit was for a simple eyebrow wax and to check the salon out. I wasn't offered anything to drink while I waited and my appointment with the master stylist lasted all of five minutes which I thought was a bit short for the price. When ushered out, I had not a clue where to go and actually had to wave at the salespeople in the lobby in order to pay my bill since they were busy fawning over a pregnant model who was in that day. I'm not a model but do expected to be treated respectfully - especially at the very high price you pay there. I will not be back.

He is a senior stylist at Frederic Fekkai at bendels, and actually gave me the worst hair cut of my life. He is rude, and when I suggested that the 3" bangs which were about 2 strands thick, were not "bangs" and if he wouldn't mind fixing it, he refused, started getting nasty, and then said "he thought it was perfect" and I should see someone else. Either he is blind or just arrogant - I know a good haircut. Never, ever again will I go to that sorry excuse of a hair dresser, over priced, poorly managed, and nothing, NOTHING compared to Sally Herschberger downtown. This place is not for chic young women, but for old ladies who only need a blowout. Seriously.

Seems like each time I visit, my bill is a little higher than the last time, but I return faithfully to this midtown beauty mecca for the AMAZING cuts and blow-outs. My hair is in my stylist's hands, and he never leads me down the wrong path. Whether I'm wearing my 'do long or short, friends and strangers alike ask me all the time "where did you get that great cut?" I just can't help myself. I'm addicted to this very expensive habit.

I live in central Florida. I can't wait for the Palm Beach salon to open. Dris cut my hair short and at first I was not happy. NOW..I love it!! He knows what he is doing. :)

I don't buy clothes very often, don't go out to eat, don't go to concerts, groom my dog myself, but I only have my hair cut at Fekkai. (I usually end up wearing a headband before I can get my next cut, but I'm willing to put up with that.) I've occasionally gone to other salons in order to save money and have always regretted it. Even if the cut only takes 15 minutes, as another reviewer wrote, the results are what matters, and my hair always looks GREAT. The counter staff could be more alert at times (could it be my clunky backpack?), but everyone else is always very attentive.

The reception is helpful and polite with last minute requests. For an economical great stylist, try Lilia. She gives great haircut, does not rush you despite waiting newly-arrived clients and is pleasant to deal with. Staff is hard-working, friendly and gives each other compliments, making the environment relatively joyful to be in. It can improve on giving a head massage during hairwash though.

I love the Frederic Fekkai salon for its great haircuts and minimal pretentiousness. Yes, there certainly are people who go in there that are unbelievable ridiculous, but the staff is always polite, friendly and have few affectations. The newer space on the 4th floor of Bendel's is airy and relaxing. Also, they are almost always on time with their appointments. For you newbies out there, there are 3 classes of hairstylists and colorists. The higher up you go in senority and experience, the more expensive they are. Honestly, I use a senior person to cut my hair, Patrick, and he's fantastic and I used a colorist on the first teir to do my highlights and he's great as well. You can't go wrong with any of them. Yes, it's pricey, but not honestly not at ALL as pricey as many other salons, so in many ways the value for a haircut here is excellent! I highly recommend this salon!

Mark cut my hair and he was fabulous. I brought him a picture and he duplicated it perfectly.

Frederic Fekkai is a fabulous salon- classy and chic. The service is very personal. Everyone there makes sure you are comfortable- whether you want a mug of tea, a glass of water- anything. I noticed that Frederic Fekkai himself observes every customer who walks in; he even came over to my stylist and conferred with him about my hair. I would recommend my stylist, Vu - he listened to what I wanted, and delivered with migh marks! This is the best haircut I've had in years!

At Frederic Frakkai, in NYC or Palm Beach, I have had the best haircuts and color. I have been using one salon or the other for the past 3 years. It seems that everyone who works there is talented, upbeat and makes it all a pleasurable event. Denise and William pamper me in FL. In NYC I love Ryad and Mia. Service in NYC is friendly from the moment you walk in. Dillon is a treat if you want a great shampoo massage. The ambiance is serene, but contemporary elegance. When you walk out, you know you are looking good. It is pricey, but I love it!
