So I went to this place after a friend of mine raved about it. Located on the second floor of this little building I was pleased to go somewhere that didn't shout "HI I'M GETTING A BRAZILIAN". I walked in and was greeted by a very nice girl who welcomed me by my name. The place was really cute and small, but in an intimate way. After serving me a glass of cold water because i was dying of heat we chatted for a bit before Hibba, yes she is a person, greeted me and sat me down in her chair to work her magic on my eyebrows. She was very quick and precise! I never had anyone massage my eyebrows! it was VERY relaxing. She placed some rosewater on my eyebrows to soothe redness and i didn't want it to end. after that she ushered me into this cute tiny little room, so she could do my Brazilian. I have gone to MANY places for Brazilian's both high and low end and I haven't had such a great experience as i had here. Don't expect it to be completely painless as i mean, HELLO, it will never be painless, but it was as painless as it could be. Also with Hibba's great personality i was immediately at ease. Everything was great. i will go back again and recommend it to anyone.

It seems like there might be some negative biased reviews... people want to mention the bad but never the good... anyway.. I have looked high and low for a great place that i can go back to regularly. After seeing this place in INSTYLE magazine and the great offer the salon did in Groupon, i decided to give this place a shot. being unfamiliar with the area i almost walked right past it. I was greeted by a warm receptionist. I was taken in immediately. I didnt have Hibba, i had rami. Rami was great. Getting a brazilian had never been easier. We chatted the whole 12 minutes away ( yes 12 mins in and out!). I also had another girl do my brows. She was an older lady i believe. It was quick and she was very light handed. The homey environment and the decor was great. the rooms were small but its not a deal breaker. overall i loved the place. My brows looked great, ( if you could do great threading in a dim room then you know your good) and my wax was quick and painless as it can get. i will be back again. even if it is a 45 minute commute for me. Hibba nyc is worth it.
