No other yoga studio compares. I.AM.YOU. is its own experience. You have to reserve a mat space to feel it for yourself. Playlists that will make you want to break out dancing and a flow that encourages you to explore your limits, boundaries, and break out of your weekly funk.

Lauren's class is incredible. I've been visiting her studio for just over 6 months and my practice has deepened considerably. Lauren creates a dynamic, customized vinyasa flow each week, and I look forward to hearing her witty personal stories at the beginning of class which set the intention for our practice and remind me never to take myself too seriously. When class begins, there's no time to worry about what happened that day - there's just you, on a mat, flowing through the postures, listening to great music. In fact the tunes are so catchy you may find yourself bopping your head during warrior pose like I do. A visit to this studio is a must for all New York yogis and their out of town guests.

Whenever i am in NY , i cannot wait to do as many classes as possible at I.AM.YOU. studio , as Lauren is a really amazing teacher with a lot of attention to detail and fantastic adjustments . Her energy level is very high and infectious , the work out is unreal (yes , you will sweat....a lot ) . With her boyfriend's custom made music mixes you will just fly through class without even noticing it , though . And the studio itself is worth a visit with the brickwalls , wooden floors and stunning art everywhere . NY : You lucked out!

I don't know where to begin...so many good things to say about this studio! I started taking classes at I AM YOU as a complete beginner over a year ago and was instantly hooked. Since then, I've taken classes all over new york, and nothing compares to Lauren's classes and teaching style. Classes are geared towards all levels, so I've continually felt challenge here as I develop my practice. As a marathon runner, I never thought I would be SO into yoga, but these classes are extremely athletic and sweaty! In addition to a great work out, Lauren's classes always have a purpose and an interesting philosophical point that leave me thinking long after class is over. I AM YOU is the perfect mix of mind, body and soul! The ambiance is unique - exposed brick, awesome paintings, and you can't forget the DJ booth. The music is an eclectic combination which adds to flow of the class. I could go on and on....

as a gym rat, yogi & rock climber, ive sweat my way through countless workouts and even more yoga studios and must say that I have never been disappointed with an I.AM.YOU class. the space alone is reason enough to check it out - exposed brick, wooden beams, fun artwork, and killer music create the perfect enviroment for a brain break. but don't let the calm fool you. laurens infectious energy and inventive sequences will have you sweating up a storm. you'll walk out spent but feel 10 feet tall. it's addictive in the best way, a blend of physical exertion, genuine excitement, shared laughter, and pure joy that only new york can deliver.

I have been going to Lauren's class for about a year, and I can tell you after trying almost every yoga studio in New York, I won't go anywhere else. I.AM.YOU class is the perfect progression, little bit of light meditation, music to ease you into it, an incredible workout all set to Vintaj on the tables...and honestly - its the best looking yoga crowd in NY. As an avid runner (NYC Marathon, bulls in spain, etc), this is remarkable training for your entire body. Combine the perfect environment with the music, workout, and Lauren's teaching (which makes it great for all levels), and that its only $20 - there is no better place to be. See you there.

I would consider myself to be pretty athletic and have done my fair share of running, weight lifting, spinning etc., but Lauren's class really opened me up to the possibilities of yoga and all of its challenging, spiritual and fun elements. Music and atmosphere in fitness classes are really important to me and I have to say I always feel good walking into her stylish studio and always leave class with a new song I want to check out (DJ Vintaj is a genius on the decks!) Lauren pushes everyone at all levels in the class, so you'll definitely leave challenged and dripping with sweat, but very simply its fun, the other students are great, and Lauren's strength and optimism are infectious.

I've always enjoyed yoga but always had little quirks with the classes that meant I never really stuck to any one yoga class. This is by far the best yoga studio in the city. Lauren gives individual attention, the classes are very athletic and the routine always changes so it never gets boring. The music picks by the House DJ are awesome as well.

I am a former college athlete who was looking for some thing to complement my normal gym workouts; something that would physically challenge me and get me excited about working out again. I was looking into yoga classes when I found out about I.AM.YOU through a friend's fitness blog. I had no previous yoga experience, but I was intrigued by the unique approach to teaching and the fact that novices are welcome. This class blew me away from the start with it's fast and furious pace, and sweet music mixes. Lauren's personable approach to teaching is also reassuring, especially for someone like me who was new to yoga and mixed in with people who were obviously very experienced. I didn't not feel intimidated or unwelcome in the least. Almost a year later, this class is still one of the highlights of my week, especially after a long day at the office!

As a former college basketball and football player, I've been through my fair share of workout routines, including other yoga classes, and I.AM.YOU is by far the best workout for maintaining flexibility, core strength, and restoring balance. Lauren does an amazing job of pointing out the smallest details to improve each student's technique throughout the class. It's a great environment for those first trying out yoga to those who sleep in cobra pose!
