Quick, less painful but very unhygenic.

No, I would not go back!

I went there based on ratings here. The hygiene was terrible. Yes - it is quick and almost pain free. But she did not wear gloves and I did not see her wash hands between procedures. She used the same wax for everyone, did not pay attention to a cut I got after the procedure and had absolutely no courtesy cream, etc to soothe the sensitive area. She just walked out. Then she tried to sell products to me when I was checking out and hung around till I paid a tip.

No, I would not go back!

DO NOT GO HERE! I have never in my life written a negative review for anyone or anything, this is my first and this shows you how strongly I feel about this place. They are completely unprofessional. Let me just say that I am not the type of person who is overly sensitive, in fact I try to find the best in everything but this place just plain sucks! I made an appointment for Saturday at 145, they call me on saturday morning to tell me that I am late, because they incorrectly signed me up for 11am, then they ask if I can come in at 1pm instead and I said I would try, as I had made plans to be there at 145 and I live all the way uptown, I rush all the way downtown and manage to get there at 115, when I am informed that I will no longer be seen because I am late. At this point I think there is a misunderstanding and I explain to them the situation and they proceed to blame ME for the mix-up. This was absolutely ridiculous. Both of the people I dealt with were completely rude and unprofessional. They made no apologies for their mistake and instead yelled at me as if I had messed up. Please do not go to this place as I am afraid you will regret it as I did. Especially when there are so many other better places to go to. No one deserves to be treated so poorly and it was embarrassing the way they yelled at me in front of the other customers. So unless you enjoy being talked down to, I suggest a different local.

Yes, I would go back!

I highly recommend the hard wax Brazilian. Not sure why anyone still does regular Brazilians when this technique is soooo much less painful. All the girls are good but Daniela is the best and she will have you out of there in 15 minutes. try it , it will revolutionize your Brazilian waxing experience :)

I won't go anywhere else for a Brazilian

Take it from me...I have been getting Brazilians for 10 years now, and I will not let anyone else wax me below the belt except for Daniela. The other girls that work there are about a B+ to A- average, but Daniela gets an A+ for the best Brazilian in the city. She uses the best, true Brazilian wax, you are outta there in less than 15 mins and the pain factor is minimal. I used to go to her when she worked at a day spa in Gramercy and when she left there, I was literally depressed. They wouldn't tell me where she had gone to, so when my friend found out she had opened Ipanema, my girl parts threw a party. Book an appointment, you won't be disappointed. The only downfall of the spa is the size of the treatment rooms- tiny! But you don't need much room to get your hoo hoo waxed anyways. Enjoy!
