I was so excited to go to the most recomended place known for their wonderful brazillian wax. this is the Jsisters. I finally went their for my birthday.I did not feel comfertable at all when I was asked to remove my panties! THEY HAD TOUCHED MY BIKINI AREA MORE THAN MY HUSBAND TOUCHED ME IN 10 YEARS OF MARRIAGE! One week later- My hair starts growing and I also had a rash and ingrones. For the Quality job which I had got it was very overpriced.

Could be a case of we-are-so-sought-after-by-A-listers-that-we-get-to-act-snotty, but more than that, this operation lacks class. No overall ethic of courteous service, and few people working there have a clue how to provide it. On each floor, I snag someone to tell them I have an appointment and get waved toward a chair to wait. Waxer does a neat job but NOT what I asked for. Manicurist and pedicurist are also competent, but keep up nonstop conversation across me in Portuguese, loudly, to be heard over blaring music. When I ask for coffee, they get it but seem surprised. They finish quickly and walk away. Twenty minutes later, I have to ask am I done? should I take the tissue from my toes? Silly me for wanting closure! When charges on bill are higher than listed on website, condescending desk clerk is definitely not interested, much less responsible. Yes, the services are TWICE as good as the corner nail parlor (where they greet me and offer me tea without being asked), but J Sisters costs FIVE times as much, and for that, I expect pampering.

I stopped in at J Sisters bc I was next door at Laser Cosmetica getting my bikini lasered (recommend it!). The hair above my lip was looking a little dark, so I walked in and asked for a wax, which I've been doing for, oh, 16 years. When I got done (about 4 minutes later) the woman filled out my form and...$25 (over $26 w/ tax...). WHAT??? For four minutes? I said to her and the front desk - What?? It's usually like $8 or $10 or MAYBE $15. And there were NO PRICES POSTED (floor 4). Pissed, I paid (i had to f-ing charge it!), but I think will call a manager today bc that is just ridiculous.

i went in thinking that they would be great because of all the great reviews. i've had a brazilian before so i knew what to expect. i was not expecting this - burning, stinging. Yes i know it's not comfortable but I know I shouldn't be in so much pain following. I know go else where and i haven't cried since.

I had the most LOUD and obnoxious experience wnet I went for a pedicure (supposed to tbe "the best pedi in the city" - HA!!!) at J. Sisters. First of all, the telephone manners of the recpetion people (once you actually got a human) were rude. When I got there the place was packed and the music was BLARING. Not a relaxing atmosphere. While my $45.00 pedicure was very well done, it did not last the 4 weeks they claimed it would. The front desk ladies were rude and dis-interested. The bathrooms was incredilbly tiny, and basically, there is just no way I'd ever go back there.

GREAT brazilian wax!! i think that is the only thing i would pay for there though. Atmosphere from staff is NOT friendly.. exactly like they're doing you a favor. and other prices such as hair services just seem way overly expensive.

I went to Jsisters for a brazilian bikini wax. It is not for the shy, and if you are, go anyways (just keep telling yourself these people see hundreds of vaginas a day, mine is no different). The pain was worth it, they did a very complete and thorough job, I am as smooth as a baby's butt.

I've been going to J. Sisters for 3 years and this is the best place to get a brazilian bikini wax. I've tried other places that charged less - but you get what you pay for. Lele and Lulu are the only people I go to for waxing.

Earlier today I made my first trip to the legendary J. Sisters for my first ever brazilian bikini wax. I won't lie, it was a bit painful, especially in the more interior areas, but the pain was fleeting, more a pinch than a punch. The result is great so far (tho' I'm on the look-out for ingrown hairs). I'm feeling groovy. The staff was fairly courteous (although the receptionist called me "sweetie"). My technician Lulu was experienced, friendly and efficient. She was also matter of fact about the procedure which helped me to feel comfortable. I'll most likely be back in 3-4 weeks for a refresher.

There is no other option when opting for a brazilian wax - it's the signature service at J. Sisters and I know women that fly to New York from LA or London for this very reason... The $60 price tag may seem a bit steep, but well worth it (nothing is worse than getting it done wrong... )
