Metamorphosis Day Spa is the best spa in NYC!
By sophiaplaymate on 1/10/2012
I love this spa! It is my weekly ritual - the place where I go to relax, unwind and be pampered, and pampered I get. They offer everything from body treatments to facials to massages to waxing. The endermologie treatment by Kira is to die for! She really knows how to perform this treatment leaving my legs looking slimmer, smoother, and less fatigued. Then I get a deep-tissue massage by Amy who literally puts me to sleep. Her hands are amazing! She knows where all those aches and pains are! I recently got a "Golden Glow" facial by Kira that made my skin glow for a week! I left looking fresh and flawless, my skin feeling clean and baby soft. I've been to other spas in the past, but nothing compares to Metamorphosis in terms of ambiance, services offered, and the expertise of the staff. That's why I keep coming back!
What was I afraid of????
By beckyesanders on 3/23/2011
After researching bikini waxing online for a few days, I decided to give metamorphosis a try due to their great reviews on City search. I am an African American woman with course hair and always thought waxing would be unbearable due to the thickness of my hair, well I was wrong. I arrived at the spa and was greeted promptly and shown to the waxing room. Anita was my esthetician and was friendly enough and efficient. I was given a pair of disposable underwear to put on and commenced on with my deep bikini wax. I wouldn't say that it was the most pleasant feeling in the world but it wasn't any more painful than an eyebrow wax. In all, it took about 15 minutes to finish. Anita recommended I try a Brazilian wax for my next visit. Not sure about the Brazilian but I will be back for the regular bikini wax. FYI I took 2 Advil before going to the spa so this may have been why it didn't hurt.

Decided for my B-day to get a hot stone massage. Masseuse was Ryoko. Best massage ever! place was clean and staff professional. While on the small side - I just found the intimacy cozy and welcoming. great place and I will go back for sure.

My darling bought me a gift card for my birthday. I had a European facial that was absolutely heavenly - I ended up buying three of the products used! The atmosphere was friendly and not stuffy for a small spa – very comfortable and relaxing. I had personalized service and my aesthetician was very knowledgeable. My face was cleansed, exfoliated, extracted, masked, toned and massaged. She also rubbed and smoothed tons of yummy concoctions over my face, neck, chest and hands. I left there feeling like a million bucks. I’m hinting for another gift card and looking forward to return for more! - Nancy G.
Best Customer Service And Brazilian Wax
By mariaf109 on 11/30/2007
As a savvy spa client I can confidently say that Metamorphosis Day Spa offers the best customer service and the most professional staff in NYC. There is no assembly line here as you find in most NYC spas. Kira gives the best brazilian bikini wax in NYC(I have been everywhere). She is extremely meticuous when it comes to removing any stray hairs so we leave feeling and looking our best!
That is what call a massage !!!

The place wasn't that big but it was very cozy, very clean and hygenic and it made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I've had muscles that were tight for a long time. I was surprised at the sudden relaxation of those mucles. The staff were very knowledgable and the price was unbeatable. After 50 minutes massage, I couldn't move, I didn't want to move. I was so relaxed that I just wanted to fall a sleep there. It was the greatest massage I've ever had.
Facial and Eye Brows

I had read the reviews for this salon and decided to give it a try. Tanya, my aesthetician, had a nice sunny disposition and was very skillful at her craft. They also had nice selection of product as well as the prices were very fair. I'm tired of going over the hill to pay too much money for too little service and bad attitude.
- The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
