I was referred by my good friend Emily, who has been a long-time client of the salon. While I typically found safety in the chains (Bumble, Vidal etc) I had never been overly impressed by their colorists. Every time I walk out of Minardi I receive exactly the type of compliment you WANT to receive when you describe to your colorist what look you're going for..."Your hair looks so great, did you get it done recently?" Often followed by an "I was thinking the same thing!" comment from someone else. Never, ever, have I received a disapproving frown from my mother after a visit to Minardi (having been the subject of multiple maternal raised eyebrows while staring at the "non-chunky" streaks of ashy-white in my naturally warm brunette hair.) While this sounds like bragging, really all of the credit goes to the colorists at Minardi. They do such a good job blending the highlights that one could even go 6-months without touch-ups. Yes, Mom, SIX months.

Some Hints:

  • The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
  • If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
  • Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
  • Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
