I've had manicures and pedicures here -- and they've been great; the ladies doing the service are quite nice. But I had my hair blown out here once, and I'll never go again. My stylist stood around chatting for 25 minutes before coming to get me -- 25 minutes late. And then, when I asked if he'd be able to style my hair in 30 minutes (all the time that I had left), he said: "You're wasting time by asking" -- and then refused to assure me that he would style my hair wavy, and not straight, insisting that he knew what he was doing; he had styled beauty pageant contestants all over the world. (And of course, that's what we all want to look like, right? Beauty pageant contestants?) I would have walked out, but I needed my hair done for a big celebration a few hours later, and had no other choice. In the end, my hair looked nice (though it was too straight). Never going back for a hair service.

haughty and terrible skills, especially henry. watch out. unprofessional, and they name drop their other clients, the 'famous ones.' i happen to know the ones from mtv networks and i know they would not be pleased to have their names used like that, especially by people who can't cut hair. stay away. go to ted gibson or salon privee, a real place

This was the worst salon experience in NYC I've ever had. I've frequented many salons for hair, so I would say I have a pretty good feel for good customer service and quality styling. It was an experience so bad that I even feel obligated to write a negative review! I was placed with a "senior stylist" who appeared visibly agitated the minute I sat down. When I asked for his advice regarding bangs and what length he could suggest for me, he yelled that "he didn't have time" for this & that "I should know what I want." This could be true, but I don't think that was the right way to say that, if at all (especially for a senior stylist). Anxious to get the uncomfortable experience over with, I told him to cut them up to my brows. Instead, he decided to carelessly cut them sooo short, a/b 3 inches above my eyebrows. I lie to you not, they were completely unfixable!! (and this is coming from someone who has experimented w/ hair a lot: bangs, colors, lengths). When I asked why he did that, he threw his scissors down and ran out the store saying he "gave up." I was seriously shocked and left the store. One might assume I must have been a difficult client for someone to lash out like that, but i wasnt. I called to speak to the manager, who told me that this had never happened and that the stylist was ok now. What?! I could tell he was completely biased and just as rude. It was pretty much a lost cause for me. All I have is this review!
