Brandy of Pepper Pastor is a miracle worker. In one short hour she transformed me from a little lost gremlin with derisory hair to James Dean, complete with swagger. Top Hairdresser - Top Haircut - Top Hair Salon

If you're a bride stay away from this unprofessional salon! Pepper Pastor is unreliable, as well as the rest of her staff. As an event planner, and a bride i would stay away from this vendor! I booked my date with her, and she forgot to place me in her calendar, and then all she could say is I am sorry. We agreed on the day, price, and location the day of my OVER priced, mediocre trial- and all she could say 1 month before my wedding was sorry I already booked another bride. Thank goodness i had enough time to find another salon, with a reliable hairdresser- that was appalled by my story once i told her. Beware!

I am thoroughly happy to have found Pepper Pastor Salon: a funky ambiance, warm reception and a dream haircut. Pepper totally got the 40s-style haircut I wanted, and executed it to perfection. After two months, my hair is still looking beautiful -- the only reason I`m not going back just yet!

Love the new salon. Atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing. Christina has cut my hair twice now and she was so invested in listening to what I want and providing her creative input. I've gotten so many compliments from friends and even from people on the street.

High fashion meets a bit of goth in the newest seaport gem. The Pepper Pastor Salon is exactly what the area needed - a neighborhood salon with world class ability and concepts. I recently got my haircut by Pepper herself and have never been so pleased with the results. We conversed to come up with a harmonious vision and she was able to take my look to the next level. The entire staff was inviting and entertaining. I referred a few friends to the salon and they too were very pleased. Julian masterfully colored and cut their hair -they all look fabulous.

First.. this salon is awsome.. when you go in. you feel like.. WOW seriously? Well, I did. There is a great service, with great people. I got my haircut by Julian, he is a master in cutting hair. He accepted my wishes, and studied my hair well. He knew what he did. The best of all, he took time for cuttin my hair, and we had some good small talks. It is the best in NYC. Gotta go again:)

Pepper Pastor's Salon is located in the heart of the south street seaport, conveniently a half a block away from the J.Crew store. When entering the salon, you notice the sleek, modernly unconventional decor (or as their tagline puts it, "Tim Burton meets Coco Chanel with a dash of Pepper"). I loved the chandelier and the gorgeous couch in the front. As soon as I stepped inside, I was immediately welcomed by the warm smiles of all the stylists and Pepper herself. Everyone was extremely accommodating, and I will definitely be back to have my hair cut!

I send our visiting executives' wifes to Peppers; best place to send your (wife, girlfriend, partner, etc.) when you are conducting business in the city. Great service and you should make arrangements to bill the firm directly - nice perk for clients. Great location.

I have never written a review here before but I had to write now because Pepper Pastor Salon is fabulous! Love everything about this place, starting with the lady behind it... Pepper is a true talent, not to mention a total sweetheart. My hair is fine, thin and blah but every time I have seen Pepper I have walked out looking like a new person. Her skills with the haircut are only outdone by her skills with color. I have gotten SO many compliments on my now lovely locks! Not to mention the new salon is freakin cool.... chic, hip and utterly fun. You can not go wrong at this place.

I went to Pepper last week - noticed a cool new place, peeked my head in and got a menu (for haircuts...pretty cool), then made an appointment. Aside from getting one of the best looking cuts of my life, the hot towel and head massage was incredible. A dry cut BEFORE getting my hair washed...rocket science I tell ya! I left feeling clean and refreshed...great staff, great experience. The space is unlike any salon I've seen - so many intricate details in this tasteful, but original spot. It's fantastic.
