My hair was cut and styled by Salvatore, a young stylist with a bright future ahead of him in his career. He asked what I wanted and he did exactly what I was thinking! He was very polite and a gentleman. Sal is in my opinion extremely talented for being only 21. I absolutely loved what he did with my hair. I will definately be seeing him again and will be spreading the word about him and the salon!! BRAVO!

I recently went to Prive for a haircut with stylist Roman which was amazing and he recommended a colorist for me Maureen who was just as friendly and professional. I left looking the best I have in years. Thanks guys!

Growing up in a family of hairstylist, I have always been very picky about my hair and who I let touch it. After moving to New York City, one of the hardest things for me to do was find a stylist that I could trust and that I liked. My boyfriend gave me a certificate for Prive for my birthday two years ago and I have been hooked since. I have my hair cut by Pascal and he is an artist. Watching him work is like watching a masterpiece being created. He also takes the time to talk to you about what you want and what he thinks will work for you to come out with an original cut that works for you.

after being recommended to her by a L.A. prive colorist, i've been going to zoe for color since january '05. unlike other salons where colorists often do not take note of your hair texture/history of coloring/etc., zoe is takes all factors into consideration before transforming your hair. i went from dark brown to blonde very quickly, very believably, and, most importantly, very safely, thanks to her!

I am a natural blonde that decided to go chocolate brown almost 5 years ago. Recently I decided to go back to my natural color and new it was going to be a long process to get there. I called to make my appointment and the receptionist was very helpful after explaining what I was looking to have done, she set me up with a consultation with Michael for my color and Aaron for my cut. They were both extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly listened to what I wanted. I returned the following week to begin my process of going back to blonde, working with Michael was fun and he did an absolutely amazing job! He is a fantastic colorist that takes his time with you and does not rush (which I hate). Once I was done, I went to Aaron for my cut (whom also did an amazing job) and Michael stuck around until I was done to make sure my hair came out to my liking. I was in the salon for 6 hours, until 10:30pm but was all worth it! I love my hair and will definitely be going back!!!!

I desperately needed help in the color department (having zebra blonde streaks from my past experience) and Michael saved me! He did a fabulous job. I'm definitely his new #1 fan. I would recommend him to everyone.

Gilt Members Buyer Beware of offers for services at this salon. I had bought my services thought Gilt's website and realized that after payment and calling in for an appt, the receipt stated that the service was with selected stylist and you had to call them to let them know you are a gilt member and paid via Gilt's offer. I called back to be nice and notified the front desk; they were nice, but did confirm that I was to meet with another stylist. The stylist was nice, but she was a junior stylist and used a training apparatus that she put on my back to make sure she was cutting straight. My haircut was average. I am not sure where my annoyance about this experience lies...with Gilt or with Prive. I know that junior stylists need heads to train, but I don't think doing it through Gilt is the way to do it. If the whole marketing position of Gilt is to provide members access to high quality services and products at a discount price, this "deal" did not deliver. The offer would have lived up to it's name if I paid the discounted price with a more experienced stylist so as a "first time customer", I would be wowed and come back as a full paying customer and build loyalty. So, my lesson is to really look at the type of service you are getting to see if it's really a deal.
