Greg did such a lovely job with my blonde highlights. I feel like a sun kissed version of myself! The whole experience was relaxing and easy. And he cleaned up my haircut as an added bonus.

The Absolute Best

Yes, I would go back!

Ruggeri is hands down the best overall hairdressing experience I have had. Having never previously enjoyed the crazy and frantic environments of most other hair salons, the unhurried and individualised service provided by Greg and Craig is what makes all the difference. However, what truly keeps me coming back is the extremely high-quality colour I receive. Highly knowledgable about everything to do about hair, Greg is honest and upfront about his opinions, thinking about what will be best for you in the long run. But what I love above all is his creativity in hair styling! I have never left unhappy with a hairstyle I have received. Something I cannot honestly say about any other salon I have gone to in my lifetime. There is literally nothing he cannot/will not do. Since Greg has left Sydney, I have been consistently disappointed with hair colour experiences I have had...moving to New York now seems like a very real possibility!

Yes, I would go back!

I had an amazing experience with Greg. He was recommended to me by a friend and far exceeded any expectations I had. He listened to what I had to say while bringing in his own creative touch. Not only did he give me a beautiful haircut, he also gave me an in-depth (and much needed) blowdrying lesson and several new ideas on how to style my hair. This sort of experience: receiving excellent, personal service in a chic, chaos-free environment is just what every New Yorker (and their hair) needs!

From the moment I walked through the chic entrance of Ruggeri, I was immediately transported to a place of elegance, decadence and relaxation. A friend recommended Greg as he was her colourist and stylist in Australia, and let me tell you what a fabulous recommendation. I needed someone to tame my wild, thick locks and Greg was the man for the job. Not only did he blend my colour beautifully, but when my hair caught fire after being flicked into a candle flame at a Thanksgiving party, Greg came to my rescue and literally spent hours on his day off to cut every singed hair from my head. He expertly cut, conditioned and styled my hair so no one would notice that I was missing the entire top layer of hair from my right side. What more does a girl want than to have her hair done by a highly experienced and talented stylist who is completely focussed on you and your hair. I for one am grateful to have found Ruggeri.

From the moment you walk through his door you are welcomed into a loving home decorated with superb taste! Greg is a person who wants the best for everyone around him and loves to please (he does not judge you, he listens and appreciate individuals for themselves). He is down to earth and really listens to his clients. You can tell his really loves his job and that is why he is one of the best at what he does. So many times when you come by the "best", hair dressers have this attitude which I can't stand, but not him. Greg has a gift with his hair creations and gives you an amazing hair cut that will make you look fabulous with minimal time and attention (for the busy worker). I love spending time there. It is like a small town place where they seem to remember everything about you and know how you're feeling when you walk in. Although he is very upscale and you are treated as though you are his only client in the world. A must if you need hairdresser.

Being a client of Greg Ruggeri's is unlike anything you would have experienced before. I hugely look forward to my hair appointments with him - his warmth, humour and conversation, the ambience of the salon (Craig - he needs to pay you more) and the one-on-one attention creates an oasis that you long to be a part of. But hey, it's the hair skills that really matter - and this is where Greg truly stands out. I'd been recommended to Greg by a beauty editor after having had a bad blonde colour elsewhere - and Greg fixed it in the first appointment and gave me the most beautiful, natural blonde imaginable. And I've been hooked ever since!

You will never have a better salon experience than you do at Ruggeri. The decor is exquisite and the service is nothing but the best. I came to Greg with damaged, over highlighted hair, and when he was done, I was a whole new person! I got complimented more than ever on my new natural-looking blonde hair! He was so great to talk to and gave me helpful little tips that I now use everyday! The personalized experience is truly unique. A+

Greg is the most talented, creative and professional hairdresser I know. I have been in a hair relationship with Greg for almost ten years. I have never been disappointed with my colour, cut or doâs (my favorite is the SJP up-do). His experience is unparalleled and his ability to make women (and men) feel completely sexy is a wonderful feeling. He is one of the most beautiful people I know â very funny and totally gorgeous. I highly and whole heartily recommend Mr Ruggeri. Also, the interior of the salon will take your experience to a whole new level â it is just ah-mazing!

Greg has been doing my hair for 7 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Imagine my pure delight when he moved to NYC shortly after I did! I get so, so many compliments on the color of my highlights, how natural they look etc etc... Not just from friends and family, but people on the streets and even other hairdressers too! Not only is Greg meticulous about his work but he is efficient... The salon is amazing... It's superbly decorated, yet comfortable and not 'sceney'. All of my friends I have taken to see Greg, now never want to go elsewhere... Going to Ruggeri is just a divine experience.

Serenity and Sexy Hair

Greg has a way with sexy, glamorous 'dos that don't look like they're trying too hard. I went for a blowout and loved that my hair stayed shiny and super-bouncy for several days. The space is great too, the polar opposite of the big name salons with their pumping music and bored looking assistants -- here you feel like you're in your own private pied a terre, with Nina Simone crooning in the background and all the attention on you! Looking forward to going back for some of that hair ER on my woefully neglected color...
