My daughter and I have frequented SoHo Nail since she was 3 or 4, now she's all grown up and 21. It's a neighborhood favorite. I also send my clients there (We have Fortune 500's and innovation consultancies renting our SoHo lofts for corporate meetings and film, TV, and photo shoots (sohosoleil.com). Everyone we've sent has been happy. I also use Jenny as she does a great job on eyebrows. There are lots of careful workers there though including Alex, Norma, Lucy...you will be very pleased if you get any one of them. Susie the owner also does nails for special clients. Men feel comfortable there too doing feet, nails, waxing. If you want a fancy spa, though, this is not it.

I didn’t know Soho nails did waxing jobs too. I went there to do my pedicure but landed up going back every month to get my waxing done. I use to get my waxing done in other place where I paid twice as much I pay in soho nail. I got it done by a woman named Jenny....she is from Tibet and really good at what she does. Trust me when I say I barely felt the pain..... Now that I know such magical hands exist, I will be Jenny's customer for a long time.

This place was a hidden gem... That is, until SoHo turned into a glorified shopping center... UGH! Now everyone goes there and it's always packed... For those of you who hate it, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! So that I can drop in on a Saturday without a two hour wait! P.S. the plastic tool cases were for the razors, idiot. They no longer use them because they're illegal. And as for the drying stations, they use quick-dry drops that work just fine. Every time I hear someone say, NO DRYING STATIONS?!? I want to throw them down the stairs and yell, go back to Ohio.

This place is horrible! How does it rate a 9.0? Do you know that they don't even soak their metal tools in a solution. They also re-use the nonmetal tools, including nail filers, orange sticks, pumice, buffer etc. Everyone knows that those tools, especially the orange stick, cannot be properly cleaned or disinfected. I had to purchase a new file at $2 and a new pumice at $5. Also, they clean the basin with ASTRINGENT. Yes, something akin to Sea Breeze. Now that cannot be strong enough to kill bacteria, as they use the same spray on your FEET! They wipe the tools with this astringent with a cotton ball between patrons. They don't even soak the tools for any period of time. The Department of Health should look into this place. I regret going there! If you go, bring your own tools and a spray bottle of bleach and water.

I have been to so many "fancy" manicure places but SoHo nails, although it might not be pretty and they do not put mint leaves in your water do the best nails in town. Isn't that the point? The polish never "bubbles" and the shapes are perfect. LOVE IT
