Best color with Brian!

Yes, I would go back!

Brian is a fantastic colorist, and the products are healthy and don't irritate. Brian is also a fantastic stylist and gives a blowout that doesn't stop for days. I accidentally found him one day when he was at John Masters and I walked in for a random blowout. Five days later I was still having the best hair day of my life! When he opened Soho Organics, I was first in line to follow him. I can't say enough about how good he is.

Yes, I would go back!

Jen Parker is an amazing colorist and stylist...she's been doing my hair for years and I followed her from her days at John Masters. Not only is my hair the healthiest it's ever been, it's never looked more lustrous and natural. People stop me to compliment my hair and ask where I go and who does it all the time. I've been to all of the high end overpriced salons in NYC and hands down I've finally found the best NYC has to offer. The salon is charming and the staff is totally down to earth. Take a shot and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed I promise!

Yes, I would go back!

I found Brian Wallis at John Masters after I smelled ammonia on my head at another salon. Realizing I'd have to get my hair colored every 3-4 weeks, I became concerned about putting chemicals on my head so often. My research led me to Brian at one of the few, if only, "organic" salons in NYC. He has done a fantastic job with my color for the past 5 or so years, adapting the shades as needed for the seasons and sun. I was worried when I heard John Masters Salon was going to close, but was thrilled when I learned Brian was opening his own salon with 2 of his fellow stylist/colorists. In fact, the new space is more convenient, being on an avenue, is really cosy with a brick wall and organic teas. It's a pleasure to get my color done there, and worth every minute of my commute from the suburbs. Go see Brian at Soho Organics, you will not be disappointed!

I have been going to Jen for over 5 years since her days at John Masters. She is a miracle worker and she will change your life for the better. I am in love with my hair every time. The salon is a paradise of relaxation and beauty. Come inside and forget about the outside world. Enjoy the complimentary organic beverage of the day, the pleasant fragrance of the herbal-based products, and the never boring conversations. Just be prepared to have people complimenting your amazing hair when you walk out. Highly, highly recommended.

Finally Found My Salon

Yes, I would go back!

I have never been to an Organic Salon before so I didn't know what to expect. My hair is so silky and healthy looking I will never go to a regular salon again. The atmosphere at Organics is cozy and funk infused with down to earth professionals who know exactly what they are doing. (and if you want a glass of wine, just ask) Jen took her time with me and came up with a fabulous light brown/blondish color that I completely love.. I am phobic about cutting my hair and Jen understood this immediately, showing me exactly what she was cutting before she did which made me feel extremely comfortable. Highly recommend. I have already scheduled my next appointment.

Rod Rocks

Yes, I would go back!

I have been going to Rod for hair cuts for years and I always leave feeling so fabulous!! I asked him how he does it and he said he just focuses on the basics; it sounds so simple, yet I am amazed every time how great my hair looks. Jen has also colored my hair with results that have me feeling and looking great. I am so happy that they have put their brains and talent together post-John Masters. The space doesn't have as an "organic" feel to it as the JM's did, more hip/edgy/clean, and surprisingly even though you are close to your neighbor's chair, you feel you have privacy and yet, you also get that old barber shop feel where people can actually make eye contact, smile and connect. It is a great place.

Jen is my stylist and she is hands down the most talented chick in the universe!!! Not only does the John Master's organic hair coloring bring out the best your hair will ever be, but she can style your hair in any of the latest, trendiest hair styles around at a reasonable price!! I HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone wanting the latest trends in hair and coloring without all of the chemicals and harsh treatment most salons use to damage your hair.
