The best color I've had done in the city. Stuart is amazing. I've been getting blonde highlights since I was 14 and this is by far the greatest it has ever looked. He truly knows exactly what he is doing.

Terrible hair color

  • No, I would not go back!

I saw Stuart Hirsch himself for hair color. I did NOT get what I wanted the first time, and when I went back for corrective color, Mr. Hirsch seemed annoyed that I was back, and left my hair an ugly, brassy orange, with sloppy highlights. It was honestly so bad I was incredibly embarassed about it and had to wear a hat until I could get it fixed. And yet he refused to correct it without charging me again. I had to go somewhere else and spend another 4 hours correcting the damage. When i called the salon to ask if I could get my money back for the color, Mr. Hirsch said "Are you kidding?!" and hung up on me. Twice. I paid him a lot of money and not only was the result not what I wanted, it was TERRIBLE. He knows he completely screwed up my hair color. Everyone who saw it afterward agreed. He should be bending over backwards to try to fix something that looks like an amateur did it, especially for the money they're asking. All that said, I got my hair cut there too, by Hilly, who did a great job.
