I have been going to Susan Ciminelli's for several years and find their atmosphere and attitude of staff very welcoming. I have very sensitive skin and their products are great especially the calming cream. Susan really works with you and your diet to improve your skin. The place itself is quite small and I wouldn't go for their massages, they are overpriced and I have had better. As far as facials go this is my favorite place in New York - and I have tried many salons.

While some of the products and certainly the staff at Ms. Ciminelli's spa are first rate, customer service is poor. After using her services for three years, I have concluded that she is more concerned with charging you fees than your general skin quality. When after spending some $90 on her product and I broke out , the staff's response was "put in on another part of your body" instead of offering a credit. The process to purchase gift certificates is so time consuming and cumbersome that one asks why bother. If you re-schedule an appointment 23.5 hours before, (they have a 24 hour poilcy) you are told you will be charged....this is sophisticated New York, and this spa is best left to suburbanites and tourists who watch Miss Ciminelli's appearances on daytime TV shows.

Do not get your eyebrows done here. I came in with natural, full eyebrows and asked for them to be cleaned up and not made any smaller. I walked out with eyebrows the size of a pencil line. They were rude about it and totally did not care that I was unhappy. I look like a completely different person and would never recommend this place to anyone. Just because it is at Bergdorf's does not mean it is quality.
