I love this beautiful store!
By janicef on 5/11/2004
What a beautiful store! the gifts, the decor, the ambiance! it's just a place to see that you might not notice from the outside, as it's so subtle. the orchids in the window drew me in and a search for an interesting mom's day gift made me very happy! I want to go back for tea with mom, soon!

simply and consistently WOW!
By belalove on 10/18/2005
I always go to Takashimaya when in NYC and I am never dissapointed with the beautiful things to gaze at, the value and range of items they select to sell in store, my purchases and the wonderful bargains at their sales that I find! The service is impeccable - friendly, kind and not at all pushy. Just go and be enchanted like me!

A secret haven in NYC!!!
By cocochanelny on 12/7/2006
Situated along the perenially busy 5th Avenue and steps away from the St. Patrick's Cathedral, this marvelous store is such a great NYC treasure. Totally upscale, Takashimaya treats one to such a wide array of knick knacks and luxury items. My favorite is the 6th floor Beauty section where it houses carefully selected top-of-the line cosmetics and skincare products such as Cle de Peau, Shu Uemura and Kanebo. The ambience is very serene, spa-like and the staff is courteous and affable. I also enjoy the 5th floor bedroom section where they have Sferra fine linens. I love shopping here!

Delightful - Delicious and Delectable all at once
By AURA on 2/16/2007
On my visit to New York I found Takashimaya purely by accident, it was a pleasure - very calming, gorgeous products and the staff have excellent customer service skills. I have looked on this website hoping that there is a Takashimaya salon/store in London but unfortunately not. A friend of mine is at present visiting Singapore and another has just returned from Paris - sadly I did not know that you have stores in those cities. Thankyou for your delightful products.

Oriental Bergdorf
By harukaaoki on 7/13/2007
Everytime I go to the city, a visit to Takashimaya is a must. Whether to escape the frenzy on the streets or to pick up a new cashmere from their tasteful panoply of designers, one is guaranteed to feel refreshed after his or her visit. The atmosphere is wonderful: quiet, peaceful, elegant. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. Although the store's sale sections are not very big, they are worth taking a look at with prices sometimes cut down to more than half the original. After your shopping, remember to head downstairs to the Tea Box. I recommend the afternoon tea there. I believe it was only $19 or so. I would also advise children to stay at the FAO while parents take the chance to soak in the zen.
