Wonderful cuts & princess like service

Okay, so it's not cheap, be prepared to spend about $600 for cut (by Mr. Sahag), color, style, but if you want to feel like a princess for the afternoon, here's the perfect place. Even though Mr. Sahag has styled the hair of quite a few celebrities, he'll make you feel like the most important person he's ever taken care of. And Sara the colorist is phenomenal. I wouldn't have my hair colored by anyone else. The service by all the staff is so gracious and friendly, they make you feel like their most important visitor. And that's nice. As another plus, the last time I got my hair cut here, I was stopped later that day and asked for my autograph. I had been mistaken for a well known actress. It was the hair.

A Serene Salon: The John Sahag Workshop

The John Sahag Workshop is without a doubt the most professional, hip and pleasing salon I have ever been to. The stylists are knowledgable, precise and incredibly innovative. And the colorists, Sara Gold in particular, perform magic with hair paint. There are two guaranteed results from any visit to The John Sahag Workshop: 1) gorgeous hair 2) strangers stopping and staring as you cruise by.

Went in based on great article in Vogue and other PR. Spent $150 but got very mediocre cut which I could have gotten somewhere else for 1/2 the price. It never looked good - no matter how much time I spent on it. Salon receptionists acted too busy on the phones to care about anyone - think this is aonly a place for famous ladies to have their hair cut by John. My hair cut was seriously not very good and DEFINITELY not worth $150. Just an all round over-rated place which gets lots of PR cause John cuts Debra Messing's hair. Well, I'm not DM so I got whoever else.... and it wasn't worth it. Stay away -save your money and your hair.

I visited the salon based on reputation and because I was intrigued by the "dry cutting" technique. I was extremely pleased with the results. I paid $150 for my cut and definitely found it worth every penny. The stylist listened to what I wanted and gave me a cut I could actually duplicate at home. I would highly recommend it.

Definitely not worth $150 for a haircut

A beautiful salon, very pleasant professional staff, but Mr. Sahag needs to spend more time training his hair stylists to to deal with all hair types. Apparently the stylists teach each other!! I'm not happy with the cut I received, and it's very hard to style. Doesnt look like it's the end product of a well publicized, top knotch salon. Sorry, but that's the truth.

I have never been to Mr. Sahag's workshop in NY, but I went to a local salon here in Seattle. I was referred to this young stylist, Bruno, at Aria by a friend of mine. I was told he cut hair dry which intrigued me. When I sat in his chair he explained where he got his training from, which is what led me to this site. Hopefully John will read this because I want him to know that this talented young man was trained very well. Not only did I get the best haircut I have ever had in my life, but he made me feel like a princess while he did it. You can call me a client for life. Thanks John, and thanks Bruno!

john is brilliant. he's attention to detail in perfecting texture put me at ease. the only problem: no loyatly. john gets busy with celebrities and noncelebrity clients, even loyal ones will be rescheduled over and over again to accomodate his schedule.

John Sahag - Genius

JOHN has cut my hair for many years. I do not make a lot of money but am more than happy to pay what he charges. He is the only person who has ever given me a great haircut. When he cuts, he truly looks like an artist with a canvas. I love to watch him cut. He also shows that there are always many different ways to style it. A piece of advice to try just once -- I never tell him how to cut it. I have never been disappointed. Of course, the absolute best part of getting John to cut your hair is spending time with him. He is a beautiful human being. He gives you his full attention no matter who you are. He has never cancelled, put another client in front of me or any other such nonsense. He is incomparable. I love his product line. It did wonders for my hair. When he has not been available on short notice and I have gone to other stylist there I was not disappointed. They are remarkable. Once you go, you are hooked. He is an artist. Colleen
