I discovered this place Fall 2008. Got a great cut by Leonidis and although I paid a bit more than I'm used to ($100), I will never stray again. Spent a fortune trying to save a buck in 4 other salons, just to come crawling back to the best I ever had! Sophisticated, patient and loving service is what Leonidis gives you at John Sahag. Hair leaves there silky, smooth & intricately cut. Love her style and will always return to her moving forward.

SInce I was soooo happy with the cut I got here I decided to take the plunge and go for a color makeover too. And I have never been so happy- I came in with my pretty enough brown hair an dleft with absolutely gorgeous rich brown with really pretty lighter pieces throughout. My haircut was great the 2nd time 'round and now my total look is complete! Don't hesitate to make Sahag your salon for cuts and color!! Also, they have a new referral program so tell them I sent you!! Lol!!

I have always heard of Sahag and thought that it meant crazy wild hair that wasn't for a regular girl like me. But I can tell you that after my first visit to the home of the dry haircut (after a girlfriend badgered and finally bought me a gift certificate!!) I am wearing the best haircut of my life!!! It is pretty, stylish, beautifully executed and while not too edgy, makes my 40-somethingish self feel appropriately gorgeous! The whole staff is all about taking good care. They also have great monthly promotions that are available only by email so be sure to sign up!

I have been to all the best stylist's in Paris (Bruno Pittini/Carita), Los Angeles (Alan Edwards etc.) and New York but finally after years of knowing about them I finally made the switch. Boy was I late to the game. BY far this salon does its job. There are no distractions and the stylist's focus on their work something that they take great pride in not like other NY stylists who look in the mirror more at themselves than the client. In conclusion men and women can expect nothing but world class treatment for a high quality haircut without all the BS. You might pay a fraction more but it is well worth not having to go back a day later to the other high end salons begging for someone other than the hack who butchered your hair to fix the bad haircut. Highly recomended at John Sahag is Thomas who has been with John for 9 years. That loyality speaks volumes. This fantastic salon actually cares about it clients which is more than i can say about many of the high end NYC salons. A+ and highly recomended.

Raphael, you are the best!

JOHN has cut my hair for many years. I do not make a lot of money but am more than happy to pay what he charges. He is the only person who has ever given me a great haircut. When he cuts, he truly looks like an artist with a canvas. I love to watch him cut. He also shows that there are always many different ways to style it. A piece of advice to try just once -- I never tell him how to cut it. I have never been disappointed. Of course, the absolute best part of getting John to cut your hair is spending time with him. He is a beautiful human being. He gives you his full attention no matter who you are. He has never cancelled, put another client in front of me or any other such nonsense. He is incomparable. I love his product line. It did wonders for my hair. When he has not been available on short notice and I have gone to other stylist there I was not disappointed. They are remarkable. Once you go, you are hooked. He is an artist. Colleen

john is brilliant. he's attention to detail in perfecting texture put me at ease. the only problem: no loyatly. john gets busy with celebrities and noncelebrity clients, even loyal ones will be rescheduled over and over again to accomodate his schedule.

I have never been to Mr. Sahag's workshop in NY, but I went to a local salon here in Seattle. I was referred to this young stylist, Bruno, at Aria by a friend of mine. I was told he cut hair dry which intrigued me. When I sat in his chair he explained where he got his training from, which is what led me to this site. Hopefully John will read this because I want him to know that this talented young man was trained very well. Not only did I get the best haircut I have ever had in my life, but he made me feel like a princess while he did it. You can call me a client for life. Thanks John, and thanks Bruno!

A beautiful salon, very pleasant professional staff, but Mr. Sahag needs to spend more time training his hair stylists to to deal with all hair types. Apparently the stylists teach each other!! I'm not happy with the cut I received, and it's very hard to style. Doesnt look like it's the end product of a well publicized, top knotch salon. Sorry, but that's the truth.
