I don't know where to start about my horrible experience.... I asked for "layers" and what I got was a college barber shop haircut I feltl like. This place was a joke and trying to compete with the higher end places to it charges more to feel better about itself I think. Anyways, I would NEVER go within 10 feet of this place, nor would I ever let anyone I know go near this place.

This is the PLACE to get your hair done in WBurg..the staff and owner are wonderful... Emma did my cut and color. Her attention to detail is impressive...I went from a brassy blond to a beautiful caramel brunette..and before the blow dryer was plugged in I could the shape and cut were great. I have a very thick head of hair..not easy to figure out the first time someone cuts it... I like my hair short and "flippy" .... I was thrilled with the result...Emma spent the time needed...the price for a cut and color is comparable to other salons in the neighborhood, but you get much much more for your money. Anyway stop by just to check out the space..You will probably end up getting a hair cut there once you do... Russell did an amazing job on the interiors...and from our conversation knows a bit about gardening too!

Everytime I'm in New York, I look forward to get my hair done in this salon. The interior is fascinating (and cosy - I hate all those sterile shiny metal/white plastic places!!) and there's a great selection of alternative fashion mags to read. They really take time to do exactly what I want (I am VERY dark and like it VERY blond), and they always remembered me from the last time (even if my last visit was over a year ago!). I recommend this place to everybody, even though the prices are not too low, the experience is definitely worth every penny. Russell is a very interesting character, so are the rest of the crew - this is definitely a place with personality.

Love this place! My bangs were in desperate need of a trim, and I decided to try it because it was convenient and had received positive online reviews. Not only do they trim bangs for free (a service that most salons only extend to existing clients), but the stylist I saw (Kat) took her time to blend and shape the bit I was growing out and still didn't charge me (she even told me not to tip her)!
