Yes, I would go back!

Since I have curly, temper mental hair I've always gone back to Chicago to get it cut, even though I've lived in New York for several years. I had read about Kevin, so I booked an appointment and he gave me the best haircut of my life. He talked to me about my texture and style and then shaped my hair to perfection. People can't believe I'm able to style it myself and have it look so fabulous. I tell them it's the Kevin Woon haircut!

Yes, I would go back!

I've been going to Kevin for over 15 years and I have never been disappointed. His cuts always grow out nicely so I don't have to see him every 3 weeks. All my family and friends go to his salon and sometimes it can be an unexpected reunion of sorts. He's listens and suggests cuts that suit my lifestyle. His salon is also intimate and chill so I don't mind waiting if he's still working on a client. I highly recommend Woon.

I have been getting my hair cut by Kevin for years now. This man KNOWS hair. I swear, he never ceases to amaze me. What he does for thick, curly, prone to frizz hair like mine is nothing short of brilliant. Whether I want my hair long, short, thick, thin...doesn't matter. He always gives me the perfect cut. I have literally had people stop me on the street to ask who cut my hair. Oh and he plays the best music.

Yes, I would go back!

After my fiance told me the trips back to California for my hair were over I quickly had to get myself over the separation anxiety. I dutifully did some research and found Woon. MichaelAnthony is by FAR the best colorist I have ever seen. Kevin gave me the best cut I think I've ever had...and spent extra time with me to teach me how to do my hair for my wedding next month. Both are amazingly friendly, humble, down to earth and make you feel totally at home.These guys are absolutely FANTASTIC! Even despite the fab reviews they go above and beyond your expectations. THE BEST!!!

I travel from Dubai to NYC just to get my haircut by Kevin. I've tried many before and none compares even remotely to kevin!

A gem

Woon is a rare gem. The intimate setting and warmth of the team make you feel like you are visiting a friends hip apartment- one who has an amazing playlist and serves great tea in one of the best neighborhoods in nyc. You get the same cut and color as the top salons in nyc but without the attitude, hassle, and cost. MichaelAnthony is an amazing colorist and is able to make everyone's hair look natural- no one ever guesses my hair is dyed. The color is so close to my natural color yet somehow more fabulous. Both Kevin and Matt give phenomenal haircuts- I have been getting compliments on mine for years. No matter what your hair type or style, you will walk out with the perfect cut that looks amazing- and it will stay that way until your next wonderful visit to Woon.

Since my last review in 2004, I am still getting compliments on my cut and color, even when I do nothing to style it, & after it has grown out, before that next hair cut. Michael's color is very natural, and it shows off the cut and layering so well. Kevin's cut continues to be amazing every time! They are worth every penny and my 3 hr round trip commute to the city every 6 weeks! They are simply the best! oh, they are also very accommodating with appt. schedule.

Woon Salon is an oasis in the heart of one of the hipper neighborhoods. It is secluded and private. Kevin is masterful in his effort to personalize your look and bring about the most dynamic, shapely hair style. He is a true artist. Michael Anthony is unmatched in his talent as a colorist. He manages to create light in my hair. It looks natural and as a result I receive all kinds of flattering comments. I am truly uplifted each time I visit Woon.

Michael Anthony has been coloring my hair for more than 10 years and people are always complimenting me on it and asking me who does it. He makes it look really natural. He is one of the undiscovered gems in NY. Part of me would love to keep it that way because I love going to Woon to get cosseted by Michael and Kevin. It is a wonderful, soothing experience, totally unlike any other hair salon. You can feel the tension dropping away just as soon as you step inside the door.

The previous reviewers are more than accurate in their lavish praise! I love the relaxing experience finished off by the certainty that I look stunning. Michael's color has been spot on - I am always getting great compliments on it, it's dramatic, and everyone thinks it is mine (how often does that happen?!). The other reviewers have failed to point out the super handsomeness of this pair , and their imaginative uniforms add to the lush and exotic atmosphere.
