Dirty Scabies Infested Hotel
By AaronP77 on 6/4/2015
The aftermath from my stay at Gansevoort Park Ave was one of frustration and inconvenience. Upon returning home from what should have been a romantic anniversary weekend, my other half noticed puss filled bite marks along one of his legs and one of his arms. He went to the doctor and came home with a diagnosis of Scabies. I was in disbelief so we went for a second opinion the following day but were unfortunately given the same diagnosis. As we had never had to deal with Scabies before staying at the Gansevoort, we were given instructions to treat both of ourselves with 5% Permethrin cream and then wash the dead parasites off with a morning shower. While this was going on, one of the managers at the Gansevoort named Jamal was struggling to figure out if he wanted to be a hotel manager or an Attorney. He could not have been more unsympathetic or less caring and is probably a liability to this hotel chain. Really Jamal? Did you think I was planning on taking this to the steps of the Supreme Court? All I wanted was a little show of compassion for what I was going through. For those who are feeling particularly lucky and want to risk staying at the Gansevoort Park Ave, I would just suggest that you do not get too close with the blue runner along the foot of the bed.I would never again stay at the Gansevoort Park Ave, and would “Allege†that it is an overpriced and dirty hotel.

I went here with a couple of friends to celebrate my 21st birthday and I had one of the best nights of my life! Ofer Krespi, my promoter, got us a table filled with drinks at the VIP room! My friends and I literally spent NO money at this high-end rooftop bar! I simply can not explain in words how happy I am to have met Krespi! If you want to check this place out, contact him! I don't want to give his number out over the internet, BUT you can def. find him on Facebook or google!)

I went to Gansevoort Park rooftop last Friday and i had a great time! They had good music and nice crowd :) This place had HUGE line, but luckily i met this promoter Krispy. He cut the line for me and my friends and got us into the VIP room for free :) thanks to him i didnt spend any money (he got us tons of free drinks!!). I asked him how can i thank him, so he told me to pass his name to more people! he is working at Gansevoort every weekend, and u can find him on FB: Ofer Krespi.
Waste of time and the WORST customer service ever
By chyl on 6/11/2011
My husband and I went to the Gansavoort on Park when it first opened and since it was so nice yesterday we figured we'd go back and grab a drink. We waited a long time for anyone to come by and eventually I had to go in and try to find a menu. We waited half an hour for our drinks (which were pretty bad to say the least) and then another half hour for the check. The customer service is horrendous and a 20% gratuity is already included on the bill so there is absolutely no incentive of them to treat you well. I will never go back to this waste of a place.
- The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
- If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
- Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
- Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
