Rudeness at Pod

I had been going to the old Pickwick Arms for over 30 years and really liked the place; but in its reincarnation as Pod, it has become a dreadful hotel. The new decor of the lobby is absurd, and the murals look like they were done by a graffiti artist they had dragged in from the Bronx. Bad taste prevails. But worse than the bad taste of the surroundings is the rudeness of the staff. I have never, never encountered such an ill-mannered staff as the one at Pod. (But then I've never been in a flop house.) On my last visit I became ill and had to cut short my stay by two days, and the staff was not only not helpful but didn't even answer me when I asked if I would get credit for those days. Stay away!!!!

Good location but very rude staff

The Pod Hotel is located near convenient subway lines, however, the staff are incredibly rude. They refuse to help when linens aren't supplied or hair dryers, lights, and safes are broken. Bring your own washcloths and hair dryers.
