Not a Hard Rock Hotel, as suggested here in NY Mag, but a property of Sol Melia Hotels, this hotel looks like a good idea, and fails miserably to deliver. The lobby is the one very cool feature, with a great look, cool bars downstairs and upstairs, and a constantly funky soundtrack playing. We booked a group of rooms for a wedding, and so I saw a large number of rooms: some were dirty or poorly cleaned for new customers; some had broken fittings; most had bad/peeling paint, cracking tiles, patched plaster etc; beds are very small and dressed for short people; they're too cheap for comforters too. Add to that, the service staff were rude, sloppy and made mistakes. The concierge service was a joke and not trustworthy. Worst of all, the INCREDIBLY TINY rooms have no closet or table/counter space, not even in the bathroom! Don't stay here...
