Being a young black woman who was verbally abused by my father since the age of 4, this movie was painful yet triumphant to watch. I sat in the theater crying feeling that I was Precious. Although physically she and I are very different, I felt her character and pain. The main character did an amazing job in depicting her struggle and self hatred because of the constant dissapointment and abuse in her life. This movie was extremely hard to watch, but I reccomend everyone of every color and walk of life to watch this movie because they will definitely be able to identify with something in this heartfelt excellent movie.
