This movie was LAUGHABLY awful. The three leads have zero chemistry with each other and, outside of Lively who can't act but is wonderful to look at, have nil personal charisma. The dialogue was bad: Ben: Buddha would disagree. John: Who cares what a fat jap has to say? Ben: Actually, he was a fat Indian. or painfully cliche, cringe worthy. "You're dead the day you're born" and the ham-fisted 'symbolism'—a female character involved in a menage et trois named "O"? Oi! The fact that Edelstein lauded this as "Oliver Stone is back in his element—with a new maturity" is jaw dropping. I left the theatre thinking Stone had entered his dotage. Just Awful. As humorously bad as Showgirls.
